Pet care experience
We got our first Boston in 1987, and I've been a pet owner ever since. We rescued mutts that were abandoned in East Dallas for years, and were foster fails for several. I know how to approach animals with proper introductions, and communicate with all senses. Every dog likes a good walk, but they also like to stop and sniff the roses. I've got time for both.

Richard is so knowledgeable and has been so great with our boy! Ripp instantly took to him. We are so grateful!
First time using Rover and we are so happy. Richard is very friendly and communicates well. He seems to love Milo already and I can’t imagine trusting someone else to watch my high energy dog.
Richard is awesome! Many sitters are scared off by Ozzy’s breed, but not Richard. He was accommodating and had no preconceived notion about my dog. Ozzy had a great time at his house and I will definitely use his service in near future.
I’m extremely thankful and happy for Richard’s help with my dog! He is very knowledgeable with every aspect of dog sitting and takes care of my dog just like his own. Very lucky that I found Richard! 😊

The two dogs we currently have enjoy freedom within a fenced yard. When they're walked, they are on collars and leashes and I work with them on soft leads, so they don't pull. We also practice sitting and permission before approaching other dogs on sidewalks and trails.

Information Richard W. would like to know about your pet
I like to look at a dog's regular schedule, distance and known route. Be it one block or ten, dogs love consistency. A dog's age is also important, so I can alter my pace around their energy level.
A typical day
Walking provides a lot of positive stimulus, and the dogs I walk like the pace. That said, there is ALWAYS time to stop and sniff bushes, mailboxes, and anything else of interest. The nose knows, you know?

I'm a global cycling coach so I have time to walk dogs in between clients and rides. The nearby parks and trails provide ample opportunity to get out and enjoy a brisk pace!
