Hi my name is Richard! I am a U.S. Army veteran that has worked with some of the bravest dogs on the planet. Now that I'm back home I am finishing up my degree with some online courses, so I'm home most of the day. I have a lot of experience and some pretty interesting training, but mostly I just like playing with my german shepherd Nova. She's 1 year old and an absolute sweetheart with everyone she meets. I live in an apartment with my girlfriend Brittany who owns 1 cat that we have trained to walk on a leash in the many grass/woodsy areas we have in our complex. The cat is very nice and has his own seperate space when other animals are in our apartment. Just as an initial precaution, we make sure everyone has their own seperate space in the home (including Nova) until all pets are comfortable with each other, using baby gates and seperate rooms if neccessary. We like to keep a calm and suprvised environment until the excitement dies down a little so we can all have fun and enjoy playtime safely. My girlfriend and I are in our late 20's and we love staying active. We like to go hiking and other outdoor activities with Nova and she loves going swimming. We have memberships to a local dog park downtown and if your pet is a member we can bring your dog along as well.
