Pet care experience
I grew up with cats and dogs. I've adopted and cared for two dogs. One as a pup (3mo. old), the second a senior. I trained the puppy, Chawskee, myself and he is now living with my sister as more of a therapy dog. Daisy (the senior), was abused and abandoned. i patiently worked with her through some of her traumas. She's since passed, but her remaining years were quality. I've dog sat and cat sat for several friends and family over the years. Whether you desire your pet to relax during the day, or get out on an adventure, I don't mind. I've taken dogs camping if the owners are fine with it. Fetch, walks, and even the occasional bath are no problem. I'm also fine just lounging and playing inside with those of you that have inside pets.

Richard was great with my dog Josie. He took great care of her while we were away. He made me feel comfortable so I could enjoy a weekend wedding. Would use him again for any pet care needs.
It Was a last minute decision to board our dog Pumpkin. We really didn’t want to have someone else watch him, we never left him before. And with him being a rescue I was nervous about how Pumpkin would feel. We are so very happy we selected Richard to take care of him. Our dog is high energy and he has beautiful property for him to run and play. We were very comfortable knowing he was in great hands. He’d send us pics and keep us updated. We will definitely select him again if we have to go out of town. I know my dog loved being there. 10+ stars
Maya was a happy dog during her stay with Richard. It was nice to drop her off and feel care free during my trip knowing she was in good hands.
Richard was amazing with Rex! He took Rex with him and took him on a family hike the day after Thanksgiving! Rex had a mini vacation while we were on vacation. We will definitely use Richard again!

I live on 5 acres, but none of it is fenced. I currently live alone, and currently don't have a pet of my own (other than Chawskee who currently lives with my sister). When caring for pets at my home, I am able to crate pets if that is preferred by you, but I typically let pets roam free in my home. I close doors to rooms they shouldn't be in. I have plenty of yard space for walks, and also don't live far from a greenway that is pet friendly for walking/running. Cats have the opportunity to roam freely in the house. I won't let them roam outside. I've allowed my own pets on furniture over the years, as well as my bed, but when is comes to boarding pets, I follow the owners wishes. If they don't let them own furniture etc. in their home, I won't allow them on my furniture. When caring for pet's at a client's home, I follow the guidelines requested/required by you, the client.

I love to take dogs out for walks, runs, hikes, camping (if alright with owner). I live 1-mile from a greenway for walking. I have a field at the house for fetch and other activities.

During the summer, I work as needed, so my schedule is very flexible. Fall to Spring is a little more chaotic, but I make my own schedule.
