Information Richard C. would like to know about your pet
No breed preferences. In fact, I have a way with reactive and special needs dogs that can be seen as aggressive. I have several clients that are surprised at how their dogs respond pretty immediately to be in a positive way, where they would normally take a much longer time to relax. If you have a dog that others get nervous around, I'm your guy.
A typical day
I live right off the Burke-Gilman trail and often walk dogs down the trail to LogBoom Park in Kenmore if they are staying with me. Otherwise, parks are readily available in most neighborhoods for us to explore!

The Pet Crusader!
Pet care experience
Just call me Richard... the caped crusading care-giver of your furry family friends. Ok, that might be a bit of a mouthful. How about just "hero"? Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? "Superhero" to animals in need! Need a walk? I got you. Need to pee? I see a bush ripe for the watering. Need a scratch? I'm on it. How about a good game of fetch? Richard to the rescue!! Being a superhero for your pet is a very important job and I take the responsibility seriously. I am patient, affectionate, easy-going and have mastered the art of the proper behind the ear scratch. For these reasons, I will be your furry family member's favorite side-kick in no time. (Did I mention also that I play baseball... and that means I've got a wicked arm for throwing sticks, pinecones, balls, etc.. you should probably mention that when you tell Fido all about me.) I also have experience with special needs, reactive animals and large breeds. My own dog Akira, a 70lb Aussie Mutt, was a rescue at 8yrs old and very reactive on leash. Through patience, making him feel confident and safe, we've made great progress. In addition to winning over your pet, it is also important to build a relationship with you: my client's humans through trust and communication. I'll send texts, photos and videos of my time with your pet, keeping you apprised of their every move if that's your thing. Your animal and personal property will be respected and taken care of as if they were my own. I'm always on time and can be counted on to deliver services as promised. Need an extra hand during a particular stressful week? Let me know. Have a last minute trip out of town and what will you do with Fluffy? I'm here to help. I'm available to meet first, both with your animal and with you because I am here to build long-term relationships of animal care-giving. Hope to hear from you soon! Oh and if your animal is named Spidey or Peter Parker, bonus!
Reviews
Richard did a fantastic job taking care of our six cats! He provided regular (but not obtrusive) updates, the house was in great shape, and our cats were calm and happy when we returned! We look forward to using Richard as our catsitter again.

We are grateful to have found Richard. He was so friendly, laid back and took lots of pics of our little guys over the weekend. He sat on a holiday which was so appreciated. Highly recommend.

Richard was available to watch our dog very last minute. He was able to quickly build trust with our dog and he was flexible and professional. He gave the best updates while we were away. Thanks Richard!

Richard did a great job and sent us updates. He was also very tidy in our place. We would definitely schedule him again.
