Pet care experience
With 7 kitties & a Pittie of my own living in an old 1920's house, I am fully used to the hustle and bustle of pet & home care. I do a ton of daily walking already, so I am happy to include your pup on my travels or relax on the couch snuggling with your fluffy companions. My partner and I are fully WFH (although as a musician I travel a fair amount), so when I am in town my schedule is very flexible! I talk to myself pretty consistently, so if you have an aloof cat that just needs a friendly voice to hang out with to stave off loneliness, I can be that, or I am also experienced giving medicine to dogs and cats (topicals, pills, liquids) - I've even dosed rabbits & guinea pigs a time or two. Looking forward to meeting your furry friends!

Richard is the best! I’ve had him watch my cat on multiple occasions and I feel like my cat likes him better than me! Always takes special care to any medication/food restriction that your pet may require! Highly recommend!
Richard is, hands down, the best pet sitter I have ever had! He is extremely reliable, communicative, knowledgeable about all sorts of pet care, and goes the extra mile to make sure all my fur babies get the love and attention they crave. He is great with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, and I've seen him charm even the shyest of cats with his calm nature. I highly recommend him as a trustworthy sitter for your furry family members!

When I petsit, for me it is all about maintaining the routines you already have in place. In my home, I can tell when I have had a good petsitter taking care of my flock when I arrive home - if everyone is calm and unperturbed by my arrival, it has been a good sitter. If the cats are more skittish and hiding for a day or two, then I know the sitter didn't provide the consistency of care or attention that they need. My goal is to keep the house & pets as smoothly in the groove as I can, so give me as much info as you want!

While I have no preference for breeds or size, please feel free to infodump anything you can think of regarding your pet's temperament, preferences, and habits. The more I know, the more I can cater my care for safety and fun when we're out on the town or hanging at home!
A typical day
I am lucky to live in a town with access to a number of different stimulating activities for your dog - we can traipse all over uptown & neighborhoods, out on the bike path, to the dog park (if your dog is well socialized and has experience there), or if they are good in the car we can go for a ride and pick up a cheeky pup cup somewhere or sniff around Lowe's. If you're close by my house I can walk your dog over where I have a fully fenced in backyard for fetch or a kiddie pool for playing in water. For feline friends, I am an avid brusher (only way to keep MY house full of cats from becoming an allergen explosion) and have tested out every type of toy under the sun - you tell me what's best for your cat and I'll be happy to put them through their paces (and send you slo-mo vids of their athletic feats, of course).

Availability
As a musician, I generally set my own schedule for practicing, recording, communications, exercise, etc, so my schedule is very flexible (a goal I have been working towards for many years!). I am happy to accommodate any specific chronological needs your household may have.
