Pet care experience
We are a young family in the RCT area who'd dearly love to own a dog but settle for the flexibility of looking after other people's pooches instead. We have a three-story house with an enclosed garden and we have lots of open countryside and woodland on our doorstep. Our guests become one of the family during their stay, they get the run of the house and garden and get three walks a day. Our seven year-old, Alice, is the biggest dog lover of all and will happily play all day with a dog that wants to. She's also very keen to come out on walks. We only take on dogs if we know that we can give them constant company throughout their stay and only take one family's pets at a time. It's important to us that we give them all the attention they deserve, after all they are away from home. However, after their stay with us they'll be begging you to go on holiday again! Griff had a holiday as well as us, being taken to beaches and other days out. He came back very relaxed, and clearly felt comfortable which Richard and his family. Richard quickly picked up his charteristics, and took excelent care of Griff.
Our dog Pip had a fantastic time with Richard and his family. Richard sent regular updates and photographs of Pip’s adventures with them. Would have no hesitation in Pip staying with them again - lovely family, who love dogs. Couldn’t ask for more!
We meet Richard & his wife prior to Elsie’s stay with him & his family. This was the first time I’d left my fur baby with “strangers”. I needn't have worried she settled straight in. What a lovely family, Elsie had fun, was sent daily updates videos, photos & update texts. He stay would’ve been the full week if it hadn’t have been for the Corona virus lockdown. We brought her back after 3 days, we were worried about not being able to pick her up. I’d recommend Richard & his family. I’d definitely let Richard look after her again.
We can highly recommend Richard and his lovely family to care for your dog. We have never left Rocsi with anyone but family before and we were unsure how she'd settle with strangers but need not have worried at all. Richard and his family were so welcoming and made a lovely fuss of Rocsi on our initial visit and made her (and us!) feel at home. Throughout her stay we had daily updates on Rocsi with photos and videos, it was very reassuring to know that she was being well looked after. She was walked regularly and enjoyed lots of adventures out and about and even visited her favourite beach, she was well and truly spoilt!! We would love for Richard and his family to care for Rocsi again and will definitely be recommending them to all our doggy friends!!!
