Ricardo is amazing! He's a true cat lover and took such good care of my baby :) Definitely booking with him from now on, 10/10, highly recommend.

My three dogs (1 large, 2 medium) just stayed with Ricardo and his roommate for five days. Although Ricardo was very nice, friendly and took a lot of pictures of their morning and evening walks, but based on my observations, I would not recommend this sitter again. First, I do not believe he portioned out their food as I instructed because I measured out more than enough and he ran out of food on Thursday night. He bought a bag of food to hold them over until I picked them up on Sunday night, which I reimbursed him for in cash. More importantly, I repeatedly asked if my dogs would be staying inside with them instead of living and sleeping in the yard and they answered that they would be/have been inside. I never received any pictures or videos of them inside or playing at all, it was just of them on their walks, which I still appreciated. By chance, I happened to show up about an hour earlier than I originally anticipated and didn't have my phone to alert him I would be early. When I got there, I knocked and did not immediately hear the sound of my dogs going insane, which is what they would typically do if they were inside. I figured they were probably in the yard or on a walk. I called for them and in the distance I heard one of my dogs barking but they didn't come running to the gate. I went back to the front door and my gut was telling me something is wrong. Finally, his roommate opens the door and although she didn't quite invite me inside, I let myself in when she stepped back to call for Ricardo. I saw that Ricardo was pulling in their beds from outside in the backyard, right where I had left them when I dropped off the dogs. When he directed me to leave the beds out there I even specifically asked whether they would actually be sleeping inside though and he assured me yes, they would. The dogs came running inside and of course we were extremely excited and happy but it was clear they were also excited to explore this house. As dog parents, we can read our dogs behaviors and it was clear they have had limited time inside the house from how curious they were about the place. If they had been there all five days, they would have never left our side the first 5 minutes just greeting us. It seemed as if the newness of the house environment was distracting them. I may be misinterpreting this of course. But the dogs and the beds were absolutely filthy, all caked in dirt. When I asked the roommate why the beds were outside she told me they were playing. I said yes but I see he's bringing the dog beds in right now, did they sleep outside? She repeated that they were playing and played with a lot of children today. That is nice to hear but she really evaded answering the question. All in all, my dogs seem okay, if a bit overweight, but I did pay a total of $90 a night for my three dogs across 5 days and I was expecting a better experience for them. Ricardo and his roommate seemed friendly so if you are okay with your dogs staying outside then I think they would be nice.
