Pet care experience
I recently lost my dog of 15 years. Due to circumstances and time constraints I cannot commit to another dog but I miss having one around. I have pet sit for neighbors, friends, and families since I was about 12. I have experience with giving dogs medications and have worked with dogs who have disabilities. I have experience with many breeds and sizes of dogs. I am open to discussion so please let me know if you have any special concerns or needs.

You will love her! She house and pet sits for me when I go away for work. I swear my cats and atleast one of the dogs likes her more than she likes me. She keeps the pets active and is great with giving my biggest dog her daily medication. Highly highly recommend.
Riah has been pet sitting for me since she was in High School (Over 10 years now)! I now have 5 rowdy Australian Shepherds and she is the ONLY person I trust with them. She brings a fun energy and adapts to different personalities with my dogs. I have seen first hand how she utilizes her time with my pets (usually via our camera). She is usually outside playing fetch, running around playing with the waterhose (one of their favorite activities) or she's even jumped in the pool with them a few times! She has stayed overnight to care for my pets and has done drop in visits. She is very reliable and usually sends updates during or after her stay. I cannot recommend her enough! You won't regret hiring her to care for your animals!

I have a “my house is your house or this is your house I’m just staying here” mentality with my animals and your pets would have the same treatment. If your dog is used to staying in a crate, I would prefer that during the day if I’m working however I also have cameras all over my home and can check in on your dog throughout the day. If I am caring for your pets in your home, I will inquire about your routine and follow that to make your pet feel the most comfortable.

A typical day
I go for a daily walk after work at the track next door. There is also a dog park in my community I used to take my dog to and I would love to take your dogs out to play! My dog used to enjoy going for walks around pet smart … I think she just liked the attention but I am open to listening to what works best for your pet and adapting a plan based on that!

Availability
I work full time 8-4:30 in Burke County but live in Catawba County. I am primarily available Friday - Sunday but can make accommodations during the week. I go for a daily walk after work at the track next door. There is also a dog park in my community I used to take my dog to and I would love to take your dogs out to play! I do own 3 marmoset monkeys. They will be put away if your pet is staying with me, they have their own room and spaces in the home. They do well with animals but I would not want to spook your pets or put anyone in harms way. I have add some photos of them as well a photo of my dog that has passed on and a dog I provide care for often (and play dress up with).
