Since becoming a pet parent I have learned that our furry little family members are just like children, they require proper care and special attention in order to live happy lives. For this reason I provide a warm and friendly atmosphere that will help your special pup feel like part of the pack! While in my home or at yours, my main concern is to help your dog feel welcomed and loved when you're away. When my daughter and I first adopted our Havanese “Korky”, she suffered greatly from separation anxiety. It was a challenge to overcome this issue, but we worked with her day and night to help her feel safe and secure. She eventually understood that she is a part of our family and no harm will come to her while we we’re away. We include her in all of our family activates and I will do the same for the little member of your family. Depending on your dog’s energy level, our walks will include a stroll to the Lakemont Community Park or around the Lakemont neighborhood. While on walks we encounter and play with other furry friends, sniff bushes and flower beds or try our luck at catching squirrels. Once our walk is over we come home to a fresh bowl of clean water, a hearty meal and lots of toys to keep us busy. Also, I make homemade dog food and treats made with whole human-grade food. With your kind permission I will share these treats (my Turkey bacon bites are Korky's favorite) and dishes with your dog after our walk. I have over 3 years of experience sitting and walking dogs for neighbors, family members and friends. They have grown to trust in me with their pet and I hope you will do the same.
