Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Rhyan, and I absolutely LOVE animals. I was destined to become a magnet for playful pups and cats after growing up with several different types of pets. Now, as a dedicated cat mom, my world revolves around making sure my babies are well-cared for and loved! I’ve been caring for dogs and cats of all ages my entire life, including a special needs German Shepherd of my own in recent years. I also have two beautiful ginger kitties of my own, brothers who are 4 years old and keep me on my toes! I’m a Seattle-area native, and have just moved back to Oregon after living in BC for a few years. I’d love to give your furry family members lots of attention and exercise in my time away from work! It’s important to me to make sure that they have all of the same love that they would get from you, so anything you can tell me is helpful!

This was our first time with Rhyan. She did a great job caring for our 15 year old and somewhat standoffish Kitten.
Rhyan was great and able to do a meet and greet and sit on short notice. We received plenty of photos and updates which we greatly appreciated!!

I am available for in-home stays or drop-ins. Boarding is available only for select clients on a case-by-case basis. Any boarded dogs MUST be cat friendly. Small (0-15 pound) dogs who are cat friendly and completely potty trained are welcome in our home. I am a dedicated cat mom—our babies are loved, spoiled and very well cared for. My cats have been on a raw-food only diet for the last four years, and they have lots of toys and are the de-facto bosses of the house. Your pets will be given lots of love and opportunities to play, both inside and outside. If your pup is up for outings, we’d love to take them out for a stroll, to a dog park, or on a hike.

I would love to know about their favorite toys, treats, tricks, or places to visit! Also, if there are any particular things or places to avoid so as to not cause anxiety or stress, and anything else I need to know to give them the best experience.
A typical day
Let’s play fetch! We also love to go for a walk in one of Portland’s many parks, or in your pup’s comfort area close to home.

Availability
I work at Trader Joe’s full-time and my partner is retired and pet sits. We are available on short notice and with quite a bit of flexibility. We typically share the pet-care responsibility, which means your pet will be given LOTS of attention. We dedicate a lot of time each week taking walks/hikes and playing with our cats. We’d love to spend time with your pets too!
