But woman is a dog’s best friend 🌈

Pet care experience

For £15 off your first ever Rover booking you can use the code RHEMAB34740 🐾 Since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, I’ve been infatuated with all wildlife and animals. 🐛 I’m a very proud dog-momma myself to Poncho, a Shihtzu x Pomeranian. After years of begging, I got my first dog (Noah) when I was 11 years old and I later decided to get him a friend (Poncho) when I turned 20. Sadly, at a ripe 13 years old we said goodbye to Noah, and I know Poncho definitely misses the company of his long time friend! Over the years I’ve looked after furry creatures big and small, from Guinea Pigs and Rabbits to Cats and Dogs, and I’m also experienced in caring for senior dogs and animals with disabilities. I’ve often been the go-to for friends and family for all their pet sitting needs, and have also been a foster home to rehoused pets for 3 years. 🐶 🚿 Shihtzus require a lot of grooming, so I learned how to groom dogs 6 years ago to save myself some pennies! I’m equipped with clippers, a bath (or shower since some pooches don’t like feeling trapped in a bath) and lots of gentle hypoallergenic and flea repellant dog shampoos and conditioning lotions to guarantee a good fur day if you request it! 🦴🐕‍🦺 Though I’m not a dog trainer by trade, I have exercised my training skills by raising two wonderful dogs. I can help with toilet training, work through some snazzy tricks like ‘paw’, ‘sit’ and ‘lie down’, and through my fully vaccinated companion Poncho, help with socialising. 🐾 🐾 🐾 If that sounds good to you, and you’d like to meet up or give Poncho a play date with your pooch before committing, we’d be more than happy to arrange this! 🐾 🐾 🐾

We were so lucky when Rhema popped up for our dates when searching for a holiday home for Bravo. As soon as we met Rhema we were reassured she would look after Bravo well from the questions she was asking about him and from seeing her with him and her dog and the way she introduced them. We had regular and funny updates and we could see from the videos and pictures how settled and happy Bravo was loving his time with Rhema and Poncho. He had regular walks and was very well looked after. We would 100% recommend.

Incredible with my sausage dog DJ who often gets quite anxious when not with me. He had a lovely little friend to play with and seems to have got all his energy out with his stay. Would reccomend in a heartbeat and will hopefully be booking again in the future!

Super flexible, very quick to answer requests, and all round a fantastic sitter! Fast becoming Presley’s favourite home from home, he loves napping with the resident pooch Poncho 💛

Rea was brilliant from the moment of our first messages. Very responsive, clearly a true dog (and all animal) lover, and the proud owner of the happiest dog herself, Poncho. Presley didn’t even notice I’d left when I dropped him off, and we got a photo of his head napping happily on Rea’s lap about an hour into the stay. Thoroughly recommended!

🏡 I have a townhouse close to the city centre with a sizeable back garden that’s within walking distance of a couple of great parks too. I’ve got a basket overflowing with toys of all kinds, plenty of dog blankets, a few cooling pads and professionally installed air-conditioning if you’re ever worried about your pet during our obscure heatwaves! My dog Poncho is full of love and is great at mirroring the behaviour of other dogs and adjusting himself to accompany even the most nervous of dogs - his best pals have included a bossy bunny rabbit, a lazy shihtzu and a yappy sausage dog! 📍If I’m doing a home drop-in for some cuddles, walkies or quick toilet breaks, I’m also happy to leave Poncho at home with my partner if you’d prefer! My partner won’t be involved in the pet-sitting or walking due to working full time. Even though he works from home he has a separate office - which works out brilliantly incase you have a nervous dog that isn’t so great around other dogs, Poncho has a place to be with lots of attention.

Information Rhema-Faith B. would like to know about your pet

Please do let me know if your pet has any special needs to take into account, such as being nervous, untrained or unsocialised or has any dietary requirements. Including whether you’d prefer me to be with your dog alone, or let them mingle with others. This won’t be a problem for me but is important for me to know when altering my approach to your dog! If you could give me a brief description of your dog’s personality, what their favourite snack is and any particular favourite activities, I’ll do my very best to accommodate for that!

A typical day

If it’s our first time hanging out, I’ll be looking at ways to break the ice and create a little bond. Knowing what motivates your pet (food, attention or toys) will help massively with this! Rest assured, they’ll be the centre of attention - on their terms - whilst they think about missing you. When dog sitting we’ll typically take a walk to one of the nearby parks with some other 4 legged friends (like my own) or alone if you request so. I’ll take them for a good romp and let them get to know the area, before retiring back to my place or yours to rehydrate and play some more indoors. If your dog prefers to take it easy and would like to kick back on a sofa for some chill time with the odd tummy tickle, I’m here for that too. ☀️During hot weather I like to make tasty frozen snacks for the dogs in my ice cube trays with some ‘applaws bone broth’ or organic salmon oil and frozen peas to keep them equally cool and entertained.

⏰ I’m now going to be out of the house Mon-Fri 10am-2pm. I’ll be available for weekend and evening sitting and walkies and late lunch drop-ins for toilet breaks and cuddles! I’d like to alleviate as much worry for other pet owners as possible by prioritising their pet’s needs, and increase my own dog’s social circle after the loss of his best friend!
