My first experience with dogs was when I was very young. My aunt had 6 dogs when I was growing up, so I was introduced into learning how to take care of animals and how to train them. My family had two dogs before I was born but unfortunately passed before I could meet them. When I was 11 years old, that’s when my parents decided it was time to get another dog. We got a female Irish Setter puppy named Jovi and I couldn’t be more excited and filled with love. I learned how to take care of her, how to groom her, and how to train her. We crate and house trained Jovi. She was my best friend. Unfortunately, I moved away from home when I was 18 to go to University so my visits with my family and Jovi became few in between. And it was sad back in 2022, Jovi passed away at the age of 11. My boyfriend and I decided to move into a townhome in the Ottawa area with hopes of one day getting a puppy together. 2 and a half years into our relationship, we decided it was time to get a little bundle of joy. We got a female Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix puppy and named her Luna. Luna has been nothing but a happy and loving addition to our family. I’ve learned all over again how to train a puppy and to care for their needs. We crate trained her and house trained her, along with many other tricks. Luna is now 2 years old! My bestfriend also moved in with us to save us some money on rent. She has a 3 year old male Golden Doodle named Finley. Luna and Finley are best buddies and play all day long, always so happy to be around each other. October of this year, we decided to get Luna a little sister. We got a female red merle border collie and named her Nova. She is now 4 months old and is obsessed with Luna. They are inseparable and love each other so much. They entertain themselves daily by wrestling, playing with toys, and running outside. I have experience taking care of puppies, middle-aged dogs, and older dogs. I know how to properly brush dogs according to their coats. I offer a medium sized back yard with lots of room to play inside and out. We have lots of toys so your dog is sure to leave tired and happy!
