Pet care experience

I've taken care of a number of pets since middle school - from bearded dragons to chickens to dogs, a few of which are pictured. I am primarily here for walks, runs, hikes, or the dog park to keep myself and your pupper active. However, I am also available for dog sitting in clients' homes, whether that is a drop in or overnight. I house sat dogs for a few families while in college and am wanting to expand my services. I stayed in their home (as requested) to have consistency for the pupper. This included proper feeding times, walks in the afternoons, and quality time in the evenings. I personally love going on walks and cuddling up on the couch after with a good book or tv show. I want to bring some animal love into my day and figure this is a great way to do so, and give back to my community.

Renee house sat for us for 4 nights and our dogs seemed perfectly happy and content when we got home. She did a great job with our one dog that had some issues at the beginning of her stay. We would definitely recommend her and look forward to working with her again!

Renee is one of the most detailed care takers for pets that I know of. She is responsible and puts intentionality and care into the ways she loves on and provides for pets. I've seen her do this for many animals to just one. She's a no-brainer if you're looking for someone to give your pets exactly the love and kindness they need while you're away.

Safety, trust & environment

I believe animals are like kids in that they need boundaries. I want to love on them and give them space to enjoy the home or park, but I require structure and attentiveness of the pupper to keep them safe.

Information Renee E. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know their command words and tips to get their attention. Are they toy or food driven? How do they respond to other animals? What is their activity level?

A typical day

Pineridge Natural Area is one of my favorite parts in Fort Collins. It has a loop around Dixon Reservoir that can be adjusted depending on how far we want to go. It can expand toward Maxwell Natural Area for a hike to Horsetooth, or follow along the Spring Creek Trail toward a dog park. It is one of my favorite places to run, so I know it is an open and relaxing space to explore for an animal.

I am self employed, meaning my routine is relatively flexible. I create structure by frequenting coffee shops part of the day, but have the ability to commute back and forth as needed.
