Pet care experience
I grew up in a household with 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 pet rats, a crawfish and a dove. I LOVE animals, I have had at least one in every walk of life I have been living. I have taken care of pets professionally, for family friends, neighbors, etc.

I left my dog, 3 year old dachshund named Peanut, with Reilly when I had an emergency trip to Florida. Peanut has an anxiety disorder, needs constant attention and lots of exercise (which can be hard in a city). Reilly took him on a mile walk each morning, and to the local dog park at least once a day. She updated me with photos and videos of Peanut while I was away. She was very patient with Peanut having anxiety-induced "accidents", and when I came to pick Peanut up, he started crying as we were walking away from Reilly. I would use her time and time again as a pet sitter, if only she still lived in the city!

We recently had to put down our 13-year old fluffy boy. Which means there is a gap in my heart that I would love to fill with taking care of other animals! I have transpiration to take your babies on walks, or access their home easily. I live in a community, which is very safe. I also live across the street from a hug field for animals to run around as much as they’d love.

I don't necessarily have a breed preference. I am not great with needles, so if a dog did need an injected medication, that would definitely have to be discussed. I have dealt with older dogs, I am fairly strong so for the most part, being lifted in/out of a car or up/down stairs is no problem!
A typical day
I have a few go-to hikes that I would frequent with my dog. These include a boardwalk, a tree lined river hike, a plain large field, or even the dog park! I loved taking my dog to the shore and watching the sunset together, and let him curiously smell and then run away from the waves. I am open to whatever you feel your dog needs/is comfortable with!
