During career days in elementary school, my classmates often declared they wanted to be firefighters, scientists or teachers, but I always wanted to be a veterinarian because I love animals so much, especially dogs. Growing up, my family had terriers, but I have a lot of experience with all sorts of breeds having volunteered at animal shelters and dog-sitting for friends and family. Although my career path went in a different direction since then, caring for dogs has remained my passion. Even as a young child I associated myself with St. Francis: the saint of animals and our natural environment. I’ve always nurtured a strong bond with all living creatures, and I pride myself in being a loyal and generous friend and an empathetic human being. Although I am without my own pup at the moment, dogs have always been a part of my life and I really miss the positive energy and fulfillment they provide. Working for Rover suits me since I get to be in the wonderful company of dogs while helping people while they have to be away from their beloved pets. My schedule is very flexible, so once your pup is under my care, I will devote 100% of my time and attention to making sure your pup is safe, happy, and feeling loved. Having your sweet, furry friend in my company means I get to be a surrogate dog mom for the duration of his or her stay––and I intend to milk every second with cuddles and kisses. I hold a close bond with every dog I meet and give them the attention and energy I feel works best for their personality and breed. When caring for your pet, I will be available to them no matter what. Trust me, your pup will be providing me with so much joy! Some of my other passions include cooking delicious meals for friends and loved ones and getting outdoors. Nothing makes me happier than getting outside for some fresh air, so it would be a delight to be able to have a dog by my side on some outdoor adventures. Depending on your pup’s health and physical needs, I’m happy to go on fun hikes or stay in and snuggle up with a good book or movie. I also enjoy painting and dedicate some time every week to work on an ongoing project, so it’d be nice to have a furry friend snooze by my easel as I work.
