I was born into a family that deeply cherishes the natural world and I was raised on a farm in Asheville NC. Growing up, I was surrounded by a myriad of animals…including, but not limited to: dogs, cats, horses, chickens, sheep, goats, donkeys, pigs, rabbits, rodents…there was even a herd of deer I would hand feed with my horse Comanche in the evenings at dusk. I would say I spent more time in the barn or the forest bonding with the creatures than I was inside the home :) As a young girl, in 8th grade, I worked all summer cleaning stalls and doing barn chores and saved enough money to breed my mare Star and with the help of my parents I raised her filly Koda. I rode on the hunter jumper equestrian team at Hollins University and have worked in a few veterinary clinics as a vet technician…Highlands Animal Hospital in Florida being the most recent. This role has equipped me with the skills to provide not only attentive care but also administer medications, ensuring your pets' health and well-being. While I adored helping animals, I found that being an empath, working in the high stress environment of an emergency clinic and emotionally attaching myself to every animal that came through our doors, was extremely detrimental to my mental health and emotional well-being. So I made the decision to use my intuitive gifts with animals in a way that better nourishes my soul and that also pawsitively impacts the lives of our furry friends. I have worked on several farms and ranches, teaching horseback riding lessons and animal care to young campers. I have volunteered with rescue organizations, wildlife rehabilitation programs and worked in a dog/cat boarding facility. I have cared for hundreds of pets of family members, friends, and clients over the years and truly enjoy bonding with each and every animal, fully experiencing their unique personalities. I am a certified yoga teacher, reiki practitioner, holistic healer, and I work with clients on a spiritual and energetic level, therefore I have lots of time and pawsitive vibes to share with your furry family members. My deep connection to nature and strong spiritual beliefs have honed my ability to connect with pets on an profound level. I seek to listen and understand their natural instincts, and my spiritual awareness helps me tune into their emotional needs. Recently my partner Chris and I have relocated to San Marcos from Cocoa, Florida in order to help support his family and assist with his father’s recent health concerns. Chris helps me with animal care and house sitting jobs and having the extra set of hands can really come in handy! We are both available for meet and greet sessions. We also offer farm sitting services with several animals and work with clients individually on pricing. I'm inherently responsible, and I love keeping you connected with your pets by sending you regular pictures and updates, so you can see just how well they're doing.
