We are long time doggie foster parents who want to open our home to your furry family member. At our house, we treat your pet just like they are part of the family and like all aunts and uncles we spoil them just a bit! We want their stay with us to feel like a vacation with family, so you can rest and enjoy your vacation without having to worry about how they are adjusting to our home. We work hard to keep them on their normal schedule so that their transition into our home is smooth and makes for a smooth transition back home. About this sitter: We are long time doggie foster parents who want to open our home to your furry family member. I have been caring for other people's pets for nearly 20 years and love dogs of all sizes and breeds. I have worked at an animal shelter and a vet clinic so I have ample experience with both caring for and medicating many different types of pets. Why I love dog sitting I have always been a dog lover, growing up we had dogs and that love has continued on into my adult years. We currently have an about 8 year old poodle mix that we adopted 5 years ago a few months after losing our 10 year old lab mix in death. It was a hard time for us and we weren't ready to adopt but she stole our hearts. We recently added a Toy Poodle named Norwood to our brood to be a companion for our girl. Meet my pets We have 8 year old rescue toy poodle mix named Ida that we adopted 5 years ago and a 2 yr old Toy Poodle named Norwood. About my yard We have a large, unfenced yard that the dogs can explore on leash but we will take the dogs for walks in our quiet neighborhood and once they are familiar with us to the Petrifying Springs Dog Park. My experience administering medication Yes, I have many times administered oral, eye and ear medicine and would be comfortable administering shots and other medicine types with guidance from the owner.

I'm so glad Rebekah was available to take care of Violet and Simon again! She is such a nice person and very experienced at dealing with any dog personality type. Violet is very easy, while I know Simon could be a handful, yet she took him in, got to know some of his quirks and how to work with him. You can tell Rebekah is experienced with all types of dogs and even with puppies and doesn't get rattled and knows what to do. I am thankful for Rebekah and her husband and totally feel at ease leaving them in their care. I will continue to work with Simon and hopefully he will be a little easier each time!! :) Thanks again guys!

I have no breed preferences or restrictions, I just ask that dogs be people and dog friendly. Can handle some behavioral issues and mild separation anxiety but am not able to accommodate dogs with severe separation anxiety.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Dogs will be walked along our neighborhood streets where they will encounter many interesting sights and smells. We will also take them to the dog park and on hikes through Petrifying Springs Park. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will sleep anywhere that they are comfortable, on the couch, on their bed, in their crate, in our room, wherever is best for them according to your directions. Time I'll spend with your dog Dogs are typically alone for only a few hours at a time, we spend as much time as possible with them and they never go longer that 4 hours without a potty break.
