I've owned dogs my whole life, they have always been considered part of the family. I've got one rescue dog now that I adopted a few years back. She is very well temperamented and very easy going. If I gave her the choice, she would sit on the couch all day and watch HGTV! She goes outside in our large fenced in backyard 3-4 times a day. She has free range back there, but I am always out there with her. She doesn't have any toys outside at this moment because I need to purchase some more since she likes to destroy them! Inside the home has many rooms, but most of them are closed off so that no accidents can happen that I don't know about. However Most of the time our day is spent in the living room. Treats are usually given 1-2 times a day, depending on if she has been good or not. Simba has many partial toys to play with, but she usually just sleeps, hah. She is allowed on the couches and chair in the living room, but if she were to ever start to destroy the furniture in any way, that luxury would end. At night, Simba is not allowed to sleep on the bed. She has her own bed at the foot of my bed. If need be, she has a kennel that she will happily sleep in as well! My schedule does change quite a bit, but usually Fridays and Saturdays are long days for Simba- meaning she doesn’t get a potty break for about 8-10 hrs sometimes. She is completely okay with this, but would like others to be given a lift warning. I am a huge dog lover and can assure you that while you are away on a trip or at work, your dog will be well loved and taken care of! We do have hardwood in the house, so if your dog can have trouble walking on this type of floor, or getting back up off this type of floor, be advised.
