Loving Dogs! Mastiffs to Shih Tzus

Hi I’m Reb, dog owner for 15 years! I'm a recent college grad who did lots of dog walking/sitting in the Boston and NY area for the past 4 years. I've done my own personal dog walking as well as these online services before and have walked and cared for small pets like bunnies, cats, to small dogs like shih tzus, and even larger dogs such as huskies, great danes, and mastiffs. I'm an ex-college athlete so I have tons of energy for long walks and playtime, and I've had two dogs in my lifetime that have had medical problems so I am well-versed in administering medications as well or handling picky dogs. My schedule is generally flexible throughout the days with only minor conflicts, but I am pretty much open to anything!

I have two dogs in my own home with a rotated schedule on walking. One of our dogs is a rescue and very quiet, while the other is a puppy and very energetic and likes to play rough. I am good at dealing with both of their needs and our older dog has required medication for her ears, eyes, and orally before, and so I've dealt with that as it comes. I know everyone's dogs are different and have different ways that their households are run, so I generally try to just listen to the needs of the individual dogs and stick to the routine as closely as possible so that it gives them a sense of normalcy for when their owners aren't around. I like to keep the pups happy!

Depending on what the service is, knowing the eating schedule, bathroom schedule, and favorite places to walk around is usually a good minimum! (additionally if the dog is deep-chested, just so I know that walking right after eating is a no-go)
A typical day
Usually I'll ask my clients where they like to take their dogs for fun so I've been to many new places on walks and for play time! I've taken a Husky mix for a two hour long hike before because he really loves it, I've walked around the city with a 150lb Mastiff and then went to a locked playground (as per the owners request) to play fetch, and I've strolled around some shih tzus in their personal stroller before because they had hip problems. I like to do everything!

My working schedule is very flexible as of right now as I get to choose my own hours and have days booked out on occasion, but will always make sure my schedule reflects that.
