Growing up I was surrounded by animals; whether I was helping my best friend on her family farm with herding sheep and milking cows and riding horses or at my home playing with our dog and cat and rabbits. Growing up we had 3 loyal family labs as part of our family each of whom I loved dearly. Growing up in the country I got used to hiking and the dogs (Greta, Buddy, and Goober respectively) all enjoyed long hikes! Goober is our most adventurous dog, in addition to walks and hikes he also likes to go kayaking! Since living on my own I love having the opportunity to dog sit for friends and family. I've been able to learn a lot the past few years about working and caring for dogs with anxiety. Both the families I regularly dog/house sit for have dogs with different anxiety so I had to study in order to make sure they're comfortable and relaxed when their owners are out of town. I want to make sure that the animals I take care of don't realize their owners are away and that they stay on a normal routine with maybe some added walks or playtime. I can wash your dog, walk as far as your dog wants to go (even if it's only to the mailbox because they're afraid to go any further) and I've even been a dog "wrangler" for a wedding, making sure the dog was groomed and ready for pictures with his parents after they got married!
