Lifelong owner, intuitive & loving

Pet care experience

The short answer is: I am a lifelong dog lover and owner, communicative, flexible, I work from home and it brings me genuine joy to make your pup happy as can be. The longer answer is: I don't believe there is one or even several specific thing that makes me more suitable-- for me , it's really about all of the things I've learned during my lifelong ownership and interaction with myriad owners, their pets, vets and techs & other sitters.

Rebecca's extensive experience and compassion makes her so invaluable when looking for someone to care for your dog. She knows how to immediately make an animal feel, not only at ease but at home. She knows how to mitigate separation anxiety, health risks, bad behavior etc. You can rest assured that not only would your dog never be in harms way when in her care but on the contrary, your pet just might come back in better condition than when you left. :-) Your pet would only learn great habits and would probably view Rebecca as a friend for life. Such is the case with my very difficult and fickle dog. My dog (Fanny) is notorious for being surly and uncooperative with everyone besides me. That is until Rebecca came around. My dog Fanny thinks Rebecca is the best thing since sliced bread and will pull me on a leash to get to her and will cry when she leaves the room. Rebecca is the only person out of many who have tried who can get Fanny to go on a walk and perform other doggy functions. She has played a vital role in my dog overcoming some of her behavioral issues. Fanny has very specific health needs that Rebecca has always been patient with, understanding of and very diligent and thorough about carrying out. She is truly on her A-game and there is no doubt that her sincere appreciation and understanding of animals runs deep. I have observed Rebecca with many other dogs besides Fanny and her own dog Ruby. She is indiscriminately loving and kind. She has character, integrity and a fun loving spirit. I'm sure Rebecca will keep you abreast of any cute or funny things your dog does and will humorously express her amusement. She understands all my worries and concerns as a dog owner. Because she herself has had the same for her lil pooch. To this day, Rebecca remains the most knowledgable, attentive and responsible dog owner I have ever met. Any animal that is with her is well behaved, relaxed and above all, HAPPY. She helps dogs be the best that they can be. The dedication, effort and unconditional love that she showed Ruby was by anyone's standards, an inspiration. She understands and above all respects animals tremendously and for that I am forever grateful.

Information Rebecca T. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if the dog has any particular character traits that might cause stress (i.e. Fear of cars, larger dogs, thunderstorms, tendency to eat strange things, or to be aggressive, and any health or behavioral problems, current or past so I can keep aware should anything act up). I do not have a breed preference, as long as it is not aggressive or destructive to itself or to household items. I have a fondness for senior dogs, and am familiar with many of their medical issues, having treated my own dogs (from everything to minor injuries, to arthritis, hepatitis, and more).

A typical day

To me, all dogs have different ways they like to have fun & exercise (some love interacting with other pups, while some prefer to explore the streets and smell all the exciting smells, some love to chase and some love to sit and stare down squirrels in the park, etc so I don't think there is a "one size fits all" approach to what activities, but in general, I'll usually ask what your dog prefers and be happy to do just that! After experience with so many types of dogs with various temperaments, and from spending an hour in a busy dog park for practically every day for a decade in various cities, I've met so so many dogs and owners and along the way have picked up all sorts of different tricks and toys and ways to work with a myriad of dog personalities, and I love them all :)
