Pet care experience
*** I’m taking safety protocols to protect dogs from the respiratory infection going around. I’m happy to discuss my protective measures with you. *** I grew up with 2-3 dogs in the home as a child and as an adult I have always had at least one dog. I am very patient and understanding and love dogs more than people. I train my own dogs and have helped a lot of friends and family train their dogs. I feel like I understand the needs and wants of my canine friends which helps me get to the root of their base desires to help guide them to correct behavior. I believe in positive reinforcement through treats and cuddles and never physically scold dogs. All in all, I’m a devoted dog lover. As I have been around dogs my entire life, I have experience with puppies and elderly dogs. I am not squeamish with dogs that need special needs and have no problem cleaning up any unfortunate messes.
Reviews
Rebecca is awesome! Super friendly and personable and was happy to watch my doggo on a short notice. She has a lot of experience with dogs and left us with some helpful tips. Highly recommend!
Rebecca S. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.
Rebecca did a wonderful job taking care of our geriatric basset. We received random photos and updates to let us know how things were going. Would allow her to stay with our baby again.
Rebecca was so lovely! She was super communicative up to when she was coming over and kept us updated with pictures throughout her stay :) my dogs are super energetic and not always the easiest to deal with, but she was patient and kind with them. I’d highly recommend!

I am able to care for your pet(s) in your home so that they feel more comfortable while you’re away. I have absolutely no problem loading doggos into my car for an adventure to the park, a vet appointment, grooming, or any other need that may arise. I also keep dog stairs for my car for elderly or smaller dogs as well as a push cart for elderly doggos that can’t enjoy longer walks anymore. I keep emergency veterinary service information in my phone and I am familiar with health warning signs that may need medical attention. I aim to keep a pet’s care as consistent to what they are used to as possible. I want them to feel at ease and free of stress.
Information Rebecca S. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know about your pet(s) ahead of time. Are they on any medications? Any specific schedule? Do they interact well with other dogs and people? Any pertinent information about health issues and any special needs for your pet(s) would be appreciated.
A typical day
I love dog walks- maybe even as much as the dogs. It’s just not a worthwhile walk without a friend. I love Martinez Park, Old Town, all the dog parks and exploring new places. If your dog loves car rides, I love bringing a doggo along when I run quick errands (in safe weather only, of course). I adore making fun, enriching games for dogs. My elderly girl passed last year, but we played many games. Hide the food/treat is a super fun game for both dog and human. In a grassy area I like to throw a bit of kibble in the grass for the dog to find. Sniffing around for sustenance satisfies them and it’s amusing to watch. I have snuffle mats for indoor hunting. I believe in positive reinforcement and though I’m not a professional trainer, I can help work on some basics if your pet is in a learning stage. I am able to stick to a specific schedule for your pet and will maintain any house rules for your dogs.

I am self employed and make my own schedule, leaving me ample time to care for your fur babies. I adore dog walks and getting silly with them. Because of my very flexible schedule I will be able to adhere to any schedule you have in place for your pets. I look forward to caring for doggos.
