fenced back yard

Pet care experience

I’ve lived with dogs since I was a kid and love them. I now have a 4 month old puppy who loves playing with other dogs! She is super sweet and will help your doggy feel at home. They can play in my fenced back yard. I am also close to the capital trail, parks and a mini enclosed dog park for play time. I am home usually 4 full days a week since I work 3 shifts a week at VCU. I’m very active and don’t mind long walks or jogging with your dog. I would be happy to provide walks, daycare or boarding for your doggy! I am flexible with scheduling as well and will do my best to accommodate last minute requests! If you have any special training needs I will try to help maintain some consistency.

Rebecca takes care of our dog when we have to be away from home without him. She does a good job taking care of him and I’m very comfortable when she takes care of him. She has good intuition about animals, which I see when she plays with them and talks to them. My dog is also excited when he sees her car coming up the driveway and he gives her an enthusiastic greeting when she comes in. At the same time, she pays attention to the training principles she has learned while raising her own dog and has taken advantage of local dog training classes so she can benefit from the experience and knowledge of others.

Rebecca Sward recently adopted a homeless puppy whom she named Piper and has done a super job with her. She has borne any cost to provide the best of care and has been a loving and caring pet parent. She attends dog training classes with Piper in order to ensure that Piper's behavior is positive at home and with others, and her training strategies are always based on positive reinforcement. I take care of Piper on occasion, and can see the positive effects of Rebecca's care, affection, and teaching. Rebecca cares for my dog when I am away, and she teaches him new skills and he has great affection for her. Rebecca has a talent for understanding animals, as well as people. She wanted to be a vet as a child and is a professional nurse, who has developed a high degree of empathy and service. She has a real talent with animals: I have watched her with many different animals and she connects with them in play in ways they understand. She would do a great job as a Rover, as she has done with my dog.

Rebecca has watched my dog Gus Gus a few times and I'm so glad she has become a Rover because shes amazing!! I will only be using her services if at all possible. She's obviously a huge dog lover and it's clear she actually spends time with him while he is with her. Whenever I pick him up hes clearly had a fun day and is sometimes even hesitant to leave! The best part is that he's pooped afterwards. Rebecca is great at staying in communication and clearly a very responsible person. I would absolutely recommend her as your next Rover!

Information Rebecca S. would like to know about your pet

Is your dog potty trained? Are there any special needs I should know about like medications or feeding routines? Also, I'd be happy to follow through on any specific training you are doing if you show me what you are working on! I have a cat and a dog also, so let me know if you have any special needs in that area too.

A typical day

I live in an apartment with a fenced in back yard. My puppy, Piper, loves other dogs and would be happy to show your dog around the yard. I have tons of toys to play fetch, tug of war, hide and seek and whatever they like! I also live by the canal walk and plenty of parks. I can go for runs with your dog if they are good on the leash too!
