I’m sorry to say this was a horrifying experience and would recommend avoiding this sitter completely. I had three major problems with her. (1) When I came home my cat’s water dish, which is 3-4 inches deep, had less than a half inch of water and his secondary bowl was empty. Based on its rate of evaporation (it's a fountain), it had not been filled for 4-5 days (she watched my cat for 6 days). When I told Rebecca I was disappointed to see that, she said she should have asked me for instructions. But, I told her verbally when she came to see my home and get my keys, I included it in my pet’s bio on rover, and printed the instructions which were posted on the refrigerator. There are absolutely no excuses for this oversight. My cat’s food and litter are automated so filling the water was the one thing I needed done and she failed to do so. (2) She did not use the rover check-in cards which guarantee the sitter is at the physical location of your pet for a certain amount of time. Instead, I received one photo a day. At least one photo had a time stamp of after 8:30pm and it was bright as day in the photo, so I am highly doubtful that she stopped by my apartment to see my cat on those days especially. (3) Scheduling the key exchange was bad. I reached out to confirm our meeting the night before and she asked to reschedule to a different date which I could not do, so we agreed to push back the meeting time one hour, to which she was 30 minutes late. She neglected to mention she would be leaving town the day I returned, so was not able to return my keys to me until five days later, which then became six because her plans changed. In the meantime I had my locks changed because I was so uncomfortable with the experience and situation. I have a very happy, loving, easy-going cat and when I returned from my trip he was more visibly distraught than I have ever seen him in his life, and he’s flown across the country. I’m still upset thinking about the neglect of my pet and my home, and the lack of professionalism displayed by this sitter. Please find anyone else to take care of your pet.

Rebecca is extremely responsible and a big animal lover. She is dependable and familiar with dogs of all types and sizes. She would be an excellent person to care for your bet and would definitely give them lots of love and snuggles. She is patient, attentive, and kind- just the sort of sitter every pet parent is looking for!
