Pet care experience
I have been pet and house sitting for 10 years. I have mostly done overnight sits for up to 2 weeks at a time. I am also available for visits and walking, which I have a lot of experience doing with my own pets. I love cats and dogs, but I have also watched reptiles, fish and even chickens! I love sending the owners pictures or anecdotes of their pets while they're away. I am always available to talk and keep a very open communication line. I like to spend as much time as possible with the animals and keep the house very clean. I live in Columbia Heights, DC. Before sitting a pet I like to know how they get along with people and other animals, just so I can be aware during walks if I should cross the street when another dog comes by or if your cat is shy and I shouldn’t pressure it for pets or play time.
A typical day
I enjoy playing along with cats with their toys or giving them head scratches and lots of pets if they’re comfortable with that. I enjoy playing fetch with dogs in the dog park or taking them on long walks in Rock Creek Park.
