For dog walking or taking dogs out in general, I ensure all my gates are closed and if there’s a space big enough for my dog to get through (he will) and I’ve learned how to block them off. I am also aware of what dogs can and cannot get into, so if I notice something I’ll take care of it. My dog gets into everything so I’m not afraid to get on my hands and knees to take something out of their mouth if need be. With cats, they’re pretty self sufficient. Just making sure they’re comfortable in their own space is my priority!
