Experienced Animal Caretaker
Pet care experience
Hello! To follow the daily fun and see extra photo updates: Instagram: @packofmoosepetservices Facebook: Pack of Moose Pet Services TikTok: packofmoose Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine. I have been doing it professionally for the past 16 years for all different types of animals from large to small. I have an Associate’s Degree in Animal Care from Becker College in Leicester, MA. All my direct experience comes from working in kennel/doggie daycare environments and veterinary clinics such as MSPCA-Angell and VCA Abbott Animal Hospital as well. Someday I hope to become a dog trainer who specializes as a canine and feline behavior consultant so I can help those with special needs to become better in home, and out. At home, I currently have two dogs of my own named Moose and Owen, as well as three cats named Dahlia, Chelsea and Zero. My pups really enjoy coming on walks with me or trips to places with other dogs! They can also come to meet and greets if you will allow it. The services I currently offer are Drop-In Visits and Dog Walking. For all Dog Walks and Drop-Ins, I service any towns within 15 miles of Ashby, MA. I do occasionally go over this limit for a small mileage fee though. I understand what it's like to have a changing lifestyle and I want to make your pet as comfortable as possible, with lots of love! I look forward to working with you and your pet(s)!
Reviews
Becca has been giving my dog weekly walks and I’m very happy with her services! She’s very consistent and communicative and knows how to handle my pup who’s a wild child! Thank you Becca :)
Becca has been so great at building trust with our timid, senior coonhound mix! We’re so lucky to have her as our regular dog walker and we’d highly recommend her (whether your dog is anxious or not!). 🐶
Becca has been great with our sweet but timid senior coonhound mix! On the days we can't work from home, we know our dog is in good hands and having an awesome time on his walks with Becca. Before starting regular walks, Becca came for a meet and greet so our pup would feel comfortable with her. She is super responsive to messages on the app and sent us a detailed report (and cute photos!) of our dog's first walk to let us know how he did. I would highly recommend Becca, especially if you have a nervous/needy dog like us!
Becca came through for me at the last minute! Tex really seemed to enjoy her company.

I am a Fear Free Certified Pet Sitter as well as a Supporting member of the IAABC. I have extensive experience with nervous, anxious and behaviorally complicated pets as well. Every pet I care for essentially gets their own care plan created so I can assure that they all get the care necessary as well as what will help them thrive while their humans are away.
Information Becca N. would like to know about your pet
Before I care for your dog, I would like to know if your dog is on any medications, has any allergies (food), so I can assure that every step is done right with the care of your pet(s). From a behavioral standpoint, I would also like to know whether your dog is good with other's and their general temperament when encountering other animals and people. This is best for when I take them out in public on walks and outings to assure safety for all parties encountered. Also, if your pet has any anxieties or behavioral issues, I would like to know those ahead of time too, so I can be sure to make them as comfortable as possible in any situation. Behavioral issues include but are not limited to; resource guarding, food aggression, possession of toys/treats, dog aggression, child reactive, car reactive, etc. I do a lot of work with anxious and fearful dogs/cats as well. I have even been called "The Dog Whisperer" by many since I have such a great way with the anxious pups. From my current experience, a little extra time goes a long way with their trust and bonding. If your loved one is a nervous nellie, I do my best to assure they’re as comfortable with me in the home as they are with you. Communication is a huge aspect for me to keep you involved in your pet's time with me. If I notice the smallest thing that's abnormal to most dogs, I generally message about it just to make sure if it's a normal occurrence or not. My views are more communication and questions are better than less to keep all bases are covered. Always best to be safe than sorry, right?
A typical day
Rain, snow, or shine, I’ll be there! I am willing to go on walks around your neighborhood and explore new places such as any dog parks in the area. For any dogs who need extra time or energy released, I can go on longer walks or provide group play times as well. My favorite places I like to go to woodsy areas to hike with dogs or the beach to walk too. If that's alright, I would go to your house then drive with your dog to a park or trail and go for a hike or walk. I also like to incorporate some fun days with some of my clients. I currently already have one day already for those days and I've been calling it "Field Trip Fridays”. This is when I take a few pups out for a longer walk than normal and I try to take them to new place every week, weather permitting – and assuming there’s no ticks. It's been successfully fun so far with those clients who book "Field Trip Fridays" each week! ***PLEASE NOTE: *** There might be a chance my daughter may need to tag along with me when I do visits. While it is not ideal for me, sometimes it must happen. I do try to inform all clients ahead of time to assure it's okay or not.
