TLDR; - I’m a vet tech. Went to school for it and everything 😉 - I love any and all animals (hello exotics and horses!) - I’ll treat your pets and home as if it were my own - I promise to go above and beyond, whatever it takes - I also offer nail trims! - Please reach out with any questions ❤️ And now for the long version; I grew up surrounded by all types of creatures, and was raised as an animal lover. My whole life I've known that I need to dedicate my time and love to animals (especially dogs, I was ecstatic when I finally got my first puppy!). That's why I went to college to become a veterinary technician and have been working full time as one for years now. Ever since I dog-sat for a family friend back when I was 10 years old, I knew that I wanted to keep doing just that. I worked with a company as a professional dog walker before I went back to school and decided I would need to make my own schedule if I wanted to continue caring for animals outside of work. When I'm not at work (or taking care of my own pets) I'm free to help out as needed. Can't wait to meet you and your pets! All bookings are subject to modification or cancellation within 1 week of start date. Please do the same for me. Booking request alterations within 48 hours of start date are subject to a last minute cancellation fee. Legally I can only practice as a licensed veterinary technician under the supervision of a veterinarian. This means that I can do no treatments, testing, or assessments outside of the veterinary environment that I work at. I am however willing and able to offer advice and suggestions, as well as perform duties such as medicating and other treatments as directed by your current veterinarian.

Highly recommend Rebecca to watch your dogs! So easy to contact and responsive, came for a meet and greet with my dogs. Not only is she such a dog lover, she’s a vet tech. You can’t beat that. I felt so confident and comfortable leaving my dogs with her. I’ll absolutely be booking Rebecca again!

When I’m staying in your home you can always trust that I will leave it exactly as you left it, if not even better. Typically I will stay the night (guest room, couch, air mattress, doesn’t matter to me!) and go about my normal day. This means that I may need to step out for a few hours, take care of personal errands, and/or stop at home to care for my own animals. However, as mentioned above, your animals are my priority during the booking so they get the majority of my attention and time.

I'd like to know anything and everything about your pup! First and foremost I want to know if they have any medical issues, as well as behavioral concerns such as separation anxiety or inter-dog aggression. I’m a veterinary technician so I have the experience, education, and confidence to be able to properly handle any and all of such matters. I just like to be informed so I can give the best care possible. I also want to know all about your pet’s personality. What’s their favorite toy? Favorite treats? What do you think they do when you’re not home? Typical daily routine? Likes and dislikes?
A typical day
I will always cater to the needs and preferences of your animals, if you have a couch potato canine I’m more than happy to hang out watching TV with them. If you have an high energy play lover I’m always up for a brisk walk around the neighborhood or some fetch in the back yard. I am under no circumstances willing to take your dog to a public off- leash dog park as I cannot and will not be responsible for any injuries or illnesses that could occur as a result of going to such a place. In case you missed it above, you can add on additional services with me such as nail trims, medicating, administering fluids, and baths assuming your pets will allow me to do so without your assistance. Let me know if you are comfortable with me bringing someone to assist me with such services.

Availability
I’m a full time vet tech Monday - Friday so unfortunately most of my time during the days are dedicated to that. However, when you book me for overnights I am staying with your pets the entire time I am not at work. Please only consider booking with me if they are going to be ok alone for as much as 9 hours. When you book with me, rest assured that I will be dedicated to your furry family members and they will be getting the best care possible. Drop in visits can include feeding, playing, walking, litter box change, and other hands-on care for your pets. One visit typically will be a minimum of 30 minutes unless otherwise requested. Price per visit is subject to increase based on time spent and distance traveled.
