Pet care experience
My family has had a dog since I was 11, and I've walked or pet-sat several other dogs. Over the last two years, I've worked intensively with my own rescue dog to help him demonstrate good manners, attentiveness, and self control. I do really well with training systems and tools, and love to learn about the specific needs of each dog I work with.

I am able to offer a crate in my home, as well as a separate room for dogs if needed. I always ensure that a dog is secure when outside, whether by a fence or a leash, to maintain safety.

It's important for me to know how your dog interacts with other dogs, with humans, and with wildlife in general. Some dogs really do not like other creatures, and that's ok! I just need to know who/what to avoid, and how to help your dog feel safe in any situation. I also like to know if you are working hard on training any specific behaviors, so I can help reinforce that and make sure I'm not hindering that process in any way.
A typical day
I love to play fetch and tug-of-war with pups! It's also super fun to allow dogs to roam around in a controlled environment so they can sniff and explore. Some of my favorite places to walk are trails and beaches (where it's allowed).

Availability
My husband and I currently own two businesses which are primarily run by our staff day-to-day. We still oversee big decisions, hold staff meetings, and work in person with our staff regularly, but we set our own schedules and have a lot of flexibility. So I am able to work with a wide variety of schedules, as long as I have a week or two heads up!
