Hi there! My schedule finally has enough flexibility for me to be a Rover, and I am so excited to be helping folks with their pet needs. Some information about my background with animals - I’ve been taking care of pets for more than 20 years. During my teenage years, my family had several hounds (Beagles/Blood Hounds) that I helped take care of, which included administering medication, leash training, and grooming. In college, I had a Lab/Border Collie mix (so much energy!) and two cats. I loved going for runs with her and bringing her to the dog park to socialize with other dogs. I currently have an elderly long hair Persian cat in my home, and he is quite the prince (requires special attention, frequent brushing, raw diet). I’ve always loved being around pets, and if I hadn’t fallen in love with teaching, I would have sought out veterinary school without question. If you are looking to learn more about how to support your dog’s walking style or anxiety, I can provide training or feedback.

Rebecca was wonderful! Kept me informed on how Duke was doing which put me at ease. She treated Duke as if he was hers and was very attentive to his needs!
Rebecca did a great job caring for my two kitties, Yoko and Yuki, while I was away on holiday. They were both happy and content. Rebecca feed them, cleaned up their litter boxes, played with them, and took photos of them every day so I could ensure they were fine. I highly recommend Rebecca!
Rebecca was a lifesaver when we had another pet sitter cancel on us last minute. She was able to stay at our house with our very old dog and was so helpful. She made sure to give her the medicine with her meals and took great care of her. She communicated well and we didn't have to worry. Highly recommend!
Rebecca did a great job with my pups. I trusted her to give one his meds. They both liked her at the first meeting. They looked happy and contrnt in all the photos she sent. I would use her again. Added plus is she lives in my neighborhood.

I’ll send photos/videos/stories about your pet throughout my visit, and I am happy to meet prior to any scheduled care. Also, as a homeowner myself, I know how challenging it can be to have someone new in your home. I’d love to meet prior to any scheduled care visit to ensure all expectations are clear.

I’ve taken care of many breeds, from Great Danes to Pit Bulls to Chihuahuas, and if there are any special things your pet needs, I’m happy to accommodate! Also, if there is a special type of leash or walking style needed for your pet, please let me know. I have a Gentle Leader leash if your dog tends to pull while on walks. As each pet is unique, services and costs will vary based on what’s best for your pet’s needs. Also, if you need any cleaning assistance or general home repair while I am house sitting, we can talk about additional services. I am a skilled tradesperson in addition to my extensive background in pet care.
A typical day
I live right by the Standley Lake Dog park, and I love going there to play fetch and letting the dogs run off some energy. There are also many trails nearby for leashed walks. If your dog(s) like to be ran, I can put on my running shoes anytime. Also, if I am house sitting, I like to learn about what you tend to do with your pet so that I can ensure their routine is not disrupted with your absence.

Availability
Right now, I am currently pursuing a PhD and work for a university, so my hours are variable and flexible. I have my own transportation and am a reliable, communicative person. Mondays, I work remotely, so I am available for midday walks/visits/home stays. If you are looking to schedule a booking more than 1 month in advance, I likely will not be able to accept, as my child’s schedule with daycare and schooling are in flux. I appreciate the understanding associated with my long term schedule. Also, if you are looking for hourly care (where I do not leave your home during scheduled house sitting period), I have an hourly rate sheet I can share with you. My house sitting rate reflects excellent care for your pet and their needs but provides me with flexibility to leave your home during the extended period of time I am scheduled for and is reflected in the rate listed on my profile. I am happy to discuss and answer questions you may have prior to the finalization of a booking.
