Pets are humanizing!!

Pet care experience

I am the person that people who are in a bind and need someone reliable to take of their pet while they are away call me. I have taken care of regular animals, dogs who have fallen ill while their owners are on vacation and the current sitter couldn't help. In addition I have also fostered for dogs longterm through the goochy project. Just tell me or write down what your pet needs and I will make sure it gets done and treat them like they were my own animal.

Rebecca is fantastic! She is familiar with dogs and great at taking care of them. She wore out my husky pup and made sure he was happy! Highly recommend.

Rebecca has taken care of Nina a couple times now- she's a wonderful sitter! she'll send me photos of Nina enjoying her stay and give me occasional updates about how she's doing. She's very communicative which I appreciate. Nina seems to be very comfortable at her place.

Rebecca and her family are excellent dogsitters! I got daily updates and pictures of our pup, and she also made sure to ask questions on his care. You can tell this family loves dogs and will treat yours with lots of love. I highly recommend Rebecca and would use her again for future dogsitting!

I treat all animial with love and respect. I have fostered a pitbull who was not good around other animals. So I would keep her on a short leash and be aware and find routes around the city that would not trigger her. I am all about keeping communication open as pets are family members in my eyes and their routine, health and diet matters.

Information Rebecca L. would like to know about your pet

Does you dog have any diet restrictions? Is your dog used to city noise? Is you dog good with children? If so do they have any worry or anxiety about the kids play fighting or being picked up? We ask that last question because we will make sure the kids know during the time your dog stays with us these actions will not be allowed.

A typical day

Everyday, Our household is up around 7am, any dog that stays with us is taken out between 7am and 8am for a 30 min walk unless there are limitations. Sometimes if eggs are made for breakfast we make the dog an egg too. The next walk is around lunch time and timing will depend on weather and schedule of the day. The mid afternoon walk is usually around 4 or 5pm. The last walk of the day is at 10pm right before bed. During the school year the afternoon walk is at 2pm, we like to take the dog staying with us on a lightrail ride or bus ride and pick up my daughter from school. During the spring time, any dog staying with us from April to the beginning of June will experience little league baseball games. During the summer months we go on random adventures and if dogs can join they will come along in the adventure. In the past we have done hiking or exploring different parks in the city. We also can be just as lazy as we are active. Especially, on Sundays on Sundays you will find everyone in the household being a log.

I am mother of 2 children and i took a year off after finishing my bachelors degree in June 2021. I started graduate school in the Fall 2022. Pets have always been a stress relief for me. Being able to take a break from daily life during the day and get some pet love is something I would be happy to do during the day.
