When I'm walking down the street, I stop to pet every dog (a habit my husband has learned to love). I had a dog and two cats growing up, so I've always been surrounded by pets. My husband and I are looking to get a dog of our own soon, so Rover will give us a taste of the dog life. I often take care of my brother's dog for extended weekends, and I fostered a rescue dog for a month with a local rescue few summers ago. When I lived in DC, I had a few neighbors that I would dog walk for occasionally. I'm fairly new to Philly, but when I first moved, I was between jobs and walking and boarding dogs pretty regularly.
