Dog lover and owner since age 5
Pet care experience
I have raised, helped train, independently taken care of, and wholeheartedly loved 3 dogs during my lifetime from 8 weeks old to their journey across the rainbow bridge. Since a very young age, after begging my family for a dog, I have looked after and loved my own dogs in a manner that has made me proficient in even some of the most difficult dog-related tasks (cleaning up countless messes, helping an energized dog play their “zoomies” out, and providing patient care to senior dogs as they develop achy joints, a loss of bladder control, blindness, etc.). In this journey of taking care of my own dogs and loving any dogs I see in passing throughout my life, I’ve realized and fully believe a dog is a part of the family and is just as important and loved as any relative.
Reviews
Rebecca is one of the most responsible, caring and patient person I know. She has always treated animals with love and kindness. I would trust her unconditionally with the welfare of any of my dogs past and future. Rebecca will be a great addition to Rover

Skills
Safety, trust & environment
My focus is always on the dog and ensuring it is safe, has my full attention, and doesn’t feel threatened or scared. With that being said, I am a professional as a member of Rover, and would act in that manner. This would look like providing the utmost respect to your home and property during check-ins (cleaning up any messes your dog has made, ensuring the dog’s items are orderly and if need be ensuring they have food and water, etc.). During walks, I would ensure the dog is enjoying their moments outside having some activity in a safe manner (allowing them all the sniffs, keeping them away from unsafe areas/unleashed dogs/garbage and litter, cleaning up their poos, protecting them from any free-roaming and aggressive dogs, avoiding pulling their collars through the leashed walk in an uncomfortable manner, etc.)

Availability
I am a college student (who often misses her own pup greatly as he stays with my parents), and so pet care would occur before, after, or between my classes each day. I am picking up this job for a little extra money, but also because of how much I genuinely enjoy being around dogs. Therefore, I am very flexible with my schedule if it means I get to see a few good doggos during my day.
