Pet care experience
I've been in the animal care field for as long as I can remember. It all started with my dad having dogs as big as a Great Dane and going as small as a Chihuahua. Started developing my professional part when I was hired at Lone Pine Kennel in Greenwich, CT, where I got to know the types of breeds, behavior, and introductions. More came along when I joined a dog walking company and would walk around 3 to 4 dogs every 3 hours. Activities would include leash walk, dog park or just a nice swim on the lake during summertime. Since things changed and I didn't have the joy of working with animals again decided to volunteer for Paws Rescue League helping dogs of all ages and needs to get adopted and also doing private house sitting for a family that has 6 retired Greyhounds! (That's right... 6) They have their routine for meals, medications (when needed) and potty times.

Rebecca lives for animals and her passion is caring for dogs. She has over 10 yrs experience in petcare, she is reliable and enthusiastic about her work. I have entrusted her with the care of my 2 large labs many times and they adore her! If we are away, she will send us their happy pics to let us know how they are doing and it is reassuring to know they are in her capable care.

I have experience on medication administration and entertaining the fur baby as much as possible so they don’t notice that the owners are gone. With so much to enjoy, they are ready to relax by the time you’re back. I care for all animals and my services are fully customizable, specifically because I never want two days to be the same. Over years of doing this, I’ve learned how to deal with aggressive animals. When you spend all day hanging out with animals, you just become adept on talking their language in general.

What is the dog's or cat's behavior, what it likes, and dislikes? Does it have a tendency to bite or get mood swings? Does it get anxious when left alone? What are its feeding habits? Does it finish its food immediately or takes a long time to do so? What kind of foods does it eat? Is it friendly to other dogs or cats, strangers, or children? Is medication needed?
A typical day
On Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during lunch time (12-1pm) I stop by to check water, food, give medication (if needed), play and cuddle (of course!). Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays I follow the usual schedule of taking them out, feeding, updating owners with photos and answering questions.

I’m currently working full time. My days off are Tuesdays and weekends. I can do overnight on Mondays after 7pm and on Fridays after 4pm until Sunday around 8pm.
