*Note - I can't adjust available times for different days of the week, so some days I am available all day whereas others I have class and will be unavailable for that chunk of the day. My girlfriend & sister are sitters as well, so sometimes if I'm unavailable for part of a stay, we can do meet & greets together and work out a plan :)* Hey there! I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and we have five of our own, ranging from 1y-12yo. The youngest has special needs so we are not currently taking new clients for day care & boarding, but once he's settled down into a new normal we may reopen that side of things. I have experience with puppies, rescues, dogs of all sizes, as well as medication administration. I am happy to take your dogs for runs, play with them inside, and give them all the love and attention they need while you’re at work or away! I am happy to care for other types of animals as well, and have cared for birds, rabbits & hamsters in addition to dogs & cats. I am PetTech Pet Saver certified, which includes dog & cat first aid and CPR. On days of bad weather, I love doing training or games to give my pups some mental stimulation and wear them out - and can bring that to your dogs as well. Lastly, since we have 5 dogs of our own in the house, I can only take 1 more at a time for day care/dog boarding (per town zoning). While I am not home full-time every day (I am going back to school & have to leave for walks/drop-ins), I am home a fair amount - and can be sure to schedule myself appropriately to spend plenty of time loving and playing with your pets for daycare/overnight care with enough notice. I do not require that boarding dogs be crate trained, but I do require that I be able to put them in a kennel if needed - we have a very large kennel built in a room of our basement (12'x7'), we keep a bed in there (so long as whoever's in there won't destroy it!) and some water, and it's very useful for separating the dogs when they need a break from each other, for feeding separately, etc. P.S. We are in the planning stages of putting in a puppy playscape of sorts into an area of our backyard - stay tuned for pics as this develops! :) Policies (in addition to Rover policies): -For housesitting, I require all exterior doors to have fully functional locks. -Housesitting rate is a starting point, if you need multiple drop ins throughout the day the rate may go up - it is customizable based on your needs. -In inclement weather, walkways need to be cleared. For housesitting, someone needs to come shovel/plow after snowstorms. There needs to be salt/sand/something along those lines available in the winter to put on driveway/walkways after snow storms. -I do not use retractable leashes. If that is all you have, I will use my own regular leash, but I highly recommend people not use retractable leashes on their own as well - I am happy to discuss my reasoning! -I reserve the right to adjust harnesses/collars if they are not fitted properly. I am happy to show what this means, and it is for the sake of safety, not judgement - too loose of collars/harnesses can let the dog slip out of them. -Dogs must have ID tags. -In inclement weather, I will change walks to drop-ins. Dogs will still get a bathroom break, and if there is an enclosed yard I can play with them there for a bit, but I do not walk on the roads if there is heavy fog or heavy rain/snow that affects visibility. I will still walk in rain/snow so long as visibility is not severely affected, which I will use my judgement on. In these situations, I play with the dog inside and will do some light training reinforcement, games, etc for mental stimulation.
