Pet care experience
I’ve grown up caring for multiple breeds of rescue dogs my entire life, and have never been without a dog (or three) in my home. I have also been dogsitting and dog walking professionally for 5+ years! I work full-time from home, so I am typically unavailable 8:30am-5pm. However, before 8:30am and after 5pm, I am almost always available, and my weekends are typically open if you schedule at least two weeks in advance. Please reach out about scheduling; I can be more specific about available dates and times if requested. I am also more than happy to be your pup’s personal photographer while I am with them! If you request no paparazzi, I’ll refrain, but otherwise expect to receive several snapshots of your sweet pup after their time with me. You can never have enough photos of your best friend!(: *I’m based out of Sacramento in midtown, but willing to travel no farther than a 15 minute drive.*

Rebecca Elliott is a loving and responsible dog caregiver. She provides unconditional love and support to her three dogs! Especially to her chihuahua dachshund mix named Penelope. There is no other person I would trust my own dogs with, she is the best!
Rebecca has watched my family’s two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels on multiple occasions now. Whenever we go on a trip for multiple days, Rebecca will stay at our house and love and care for our puppies who hate being alone. She brushed and walked them everyday for us when weather permitted and made sure to just spend time with them which is what dogs really love. She is always very responsible in making sure they are fed when they need to be as well. Since she has dogs at home of her own, she knows how to care for dogs very well from personal experience.

I do not currently offer dogsitting at my home; however, my own dogs are crate trained and I am familiar with the habits and commands. I am always attentive to a dog’s comfort (making sure they have fresh water, bathroom breaks, etc.), and I always ask clients about their preferences with allowing dogs on couches/beds, treats and health concerns, and any behavior that may cause them discomfort (my family has a rescue dog with PTSD, so I always ask even if this sounds strange!)

I do not have any breed preferences, because I will most likely love your dog before I even meet them! I would like to know beforehand if your dog is house-trained, has any allergies, or is not super friendly, just so I can give them the best care possible and make them feel comfortable.
A typical day
If requested, I’m happy to bring your pup on a run with me for some extra exercise, or play any of their favorite games like tug-of-war or catch. I love to walk in the midtown and Richmond Grove neighborhoods of Sacramento. They’re very quiet and peaceful, and there are lots of spaces where dogs can easily take a potty break and pick-up is just as easy.

Availability
I work full-time from home Monday-Friday but am available before 8:30am, after 5pm, or anytime on the weekends if scheduled at least one-two weeks in advance.
