Pet care experience
I’ve been fortunate enough to have had pets all my life. I was brought up in a household where our pets were members of the family. I remember when it came to our family holiday time, we always worried about who we could trust to provide the same level of love and care as we did. That’s why I decided to join Rover - I can be the one to provide top quality care for your furry friends without you having a single thing to worry about. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, caring and dedicated - look no further. I’m happy to call/FaceTime to discuss your specific requirements and come up with a care plan to ease any worries you may have. I’ve had personal experience of caring for dogs all my life - I couldn’t imagine life without dogs! From big Bernese Mountain dogs to little Pomeranians - I’ve had a wide range of dogs - all of whom have special places in my heart. I’ve also had some more obscure pets - a tortoise, budgies and even a giant millipede! I’ve had over 3 years professional experience of working with animals too. I used to volunteer at Balerno SSPCA and worked with a range of animals in need of some TLC. Currently, I live in a flat in Balerno with access to a huge shared garden. I’m also within walking distance of some gorgeous walks along the Water of Leith, around Harlaw/Threipmuir reservoirs and up the stunning Pentland Hills. I’m very blessed! I live with my boyfriend and our two handsome cats! I’m a primary school teacher and at the moment, we don’t feel like we can commit to having a dog of our own due to our working patterns. Of course the cats bring us so much happiness, but I miss having furry companion when I’m out walking - again, one of the many reasons I’ve joined Rover! Not only will you be receiving a top quality service, I’ll also be getting such joy from “borrowing” your beloved friend for a little while - it’s a winning situation for everyone! I’m happy to discuss any services you require: dog walking, drop in home visits for dogs/cats/small animals, boarding for dogs (provided your dog is okay around cats - our cats are very used to being around dogs and tend not to show any interest in our visitors, so please don’t worry) - any other services such as grooming and giving medication can be discussed if required.
Reviews
Couldn’t have asked for better care for our wee Cleo! Thanks again 😊
Rebecca has just given my 2 dogs an amazing week. She sent me pictures every day of their adventures and it’s clear how much attention and love she has shown to them. Thank you Rebecca x
Rebecca was excellent with Rufus, took him lovely walks, played with his ball and let him go paddling, all his favourite things. Report was excellent, very detailed, loads of pictures and got plenty of updates during the day. Her flat is in a lovely area, with plenty of open spaces and access to excellent walks. Rufus had a great time, and I’ll definitely book Rebecca again in future! Thank you so much Rebecca!
Rebecca sent me lots of photos of Ben enjoying his stay with her. She was very kind and reassuring that he was fine. It was the first time that he had left us, but when he met Rebecca. He happily ran up to meet her and jumped into her car without without a second glance. I never thought he would be so relaxed away from home.

A typical day
Depending on your dogs preferences, we can do low energy strolls along the Water of Leith (jumping in and paddling optional!…) or if you dog is needing high energy release, we’ll head up into the pentland hills - stopping along the way for some photo opportunities and water/snack breaks! Also happy to venture to the beach if this is something your dog will enjoy! We’re so blessed with an abundance of great walks around us so tue options are endless!
