Pet care experience
UPDATE 12/07/2023:Moved to San Jose and do not offer boarding or daycare at this time. My children and I started watching dogs in 2013 as a way for them to have the experience of having a furry friend and the responsibility it teaches. Over the years we have had the pleasure of bonding with regulars (the dogs, cats and sometimes the people too!) learning about breed specific tendencies and characteristics and have and continue to enjoy having the furry guests stay with us. My kids have since grown up and moved out on their own. Restless in my empty nest I have moved on. As such my house is no longer available for boarding. However, I am continuing to house sit which I started doing about a year or so prior to having doggy guests. I am also available for drop in visits and walking services. Feel free to contact me with any questions! Cheers!
Reviews
Did amazing with our dog. Communicative and sent pics . Recommend!
Rebecca was awesome! She took care of my pup was great looking after my house! Would def recommend!
We got a really good vibe from Rebecca’s other reviews and just knew she was the person we needed to watch our Riley. The meet and greet was just perfect, and when we dropped Riley off two days later for her stay she was as happy as can be to see Rebecca. . Rebecca is super responsive.
Unfortunately we booked on a bad day for Rebecca. Even tho she felt sick she still showed up. We really needed a pet sitter and due to the same day short notice we had no choice but to have Rebecca leave early. This was our first time using Rover and unfortunately this was an unforeseen situation for both Rebecca and our dog Bella. Above all Rebecca was real nice and was not afraid to stay with our Bluenose Pit bull as other sitters are. She was more than willing to stay full shift but we could not ignore the fact that she felt sick. Even tho we had her only rest at our home it is not the same as her being at the comfort of her own home. Above all we are happy with Rebecca. She did not backout

Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
Dog/cat/house-sitting provides a familiar environment for the animals to be most comfortable in. However, a potential issue arises when a dog is particularly territorial and the sitter seen as an invader. Please keep this in mind when requesting a house-sitter. As the temporary care taker of the domain and those subject to that sphere of influence I do my utmost to keep things as normal and routine as absentee authority. Having a stranger in the home can make people a bit uneasy. Cameras in "common areas" can help bring some relief. Being able to "pop in" is convenient. If you do not have cameras we can schedule video chats if you like. Trust is built over time and communication about likes and dislikes is very much appreciated. I do not have other people that tag along with me but if I could persuade her, I'd bring my daughter. But this would be discussed and done with permission of course.
Information Rebecca C. would like to know about your pet
Please be forthright with any behavioral nuances. It is best for there to be no surprises. I have too many times have had aggressive behaviors from dogs toward other dogs that was not circumstantial and not disclosed. This puts the dog at risk because appropriate cautions were not taken for what was not known. I do know that just like people, dogs sometimes act out when at a new place or with separation from their people.
A typical day
I will not be taking boarding requests. I am available for house sitting stays and check ins. Those visits and stays are largely directed by the owner as discussed before the stay.
Services
Rebecca can watch in your home
Availability
I work remotely with an occasional trip to visit project sites. My schedule is flexible enough to fit with your pups needs as closely as possible so they have some consistency.
