My partner and I have a 3.5 year old Vizsla, and his care is my primary concern when we go away. It's always nerve wracking not knowing if they're going to get nice long walks, games at home and a cuddle in the evenings when you'd be settling down with them whilst they snore away after an exhausting day. So that's why I decided to join Rover, I wanted to provide the pet care I look for when I go away, so owners can rest assured that their fur babies are in good, genuine care as if they were my own. (I may fall in love with your dog, so i'd love the opportunity for regular pet care and cuddles!). I originally joined Rover 3 years ago when my dog was a puppy, but quickly realised I needed to focus my time on his training around my studies. Fast forward 3 and a half years and I'm finding myself with time I thought I'd lost. And I'd love to fill it with pet care! I've had dogs and pets for over 30 years, my first pet was a Rabbit named Babbit when I couldn't pronounce 'Rabbit', followed by a steady stream of Hamsters, Guinea pigs, Rats, and dogs (Weimeraners and Jack Russell's). I'm a real outdoorsy person, so dogs have always been in tow, walking across woods, open grassland and exploring new areas, I always vary my walks so the dogs can get a lot of runs and catch up on all the latest news from their sniffs. And I always have water on me, because its thirsty work being busy. I have experience with demanding breeds and welcome them all. I'd love to meet you and your dog before, so you can let me know all about them and they can meet me before any walks etc.
