Best companion for your pets!

Pet care experience

Hi, I am Rebecca and I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I grew up in India and have always had a dog during my childhood. I have been married for 21 years and have had the opportunity to live in US, Netherlands and now in the UK. Busy careers and jobs deprived me of pets for several years but now I have Simba (the best yellow lab ever) since the middle of the pandemic. After two decades in my corporate career and as a digital entrepreneur I decided to pursue my passion with pets full-time. I am a professional dog trainer and an experienced pet sitter and dog walker and provide services to my fellow pet owners in the community from my house in Abingdon. Your pet/s big or small will have a blast and lots of fun when with me. During each stay, you will receive regular photo/video updates on the Rover app. It is stressful as a pet parent to leave your best pal behind be it a day or just a walk but regular touchpoints and updates will help put your mind at rest. Simba (my Lab) is also Certified AKC Canine Good Citizen from the USA and ensures that all our four legged guests feel at home with plenty of walk and playtime depending on what your pet needs are. If you think it will help, I can teach your baby some basic commands which is good way to engage with them and something that also excites them. Whether I am looking after your pet in your house or mine, or just spending time with them for short breaks like drop-ins or going for walks they will be loved and looked after as my own. I pride myself as Abingdon's most loving and fun pet care provider- 1. Unlike commercial kennels, I only care for 2 dogs at a time during day care 2. Free roam throughout the day with constant supervision whilst boarding or day care 3. Going for walks in beautiful countryside in and around Abingdon 4. Right mix of play and downtime 5. Usage of enrichment toys 6. Exercise everyday 7. Crate /pen sleeping at night if being boarded 8. During day care all dogs fed separately to ensure meal time is personal, safe and healthy 9. Non-coercive basic obedience training if preferred 10. Great opportunity for your fur baby to socialise and have fun whilst on a walk or during day care 11. I am conveniently located just off A34 in Abingdon

The consummate professional. Rebecca asked all the right questions before the visit and made me feel very relaxed. She sent texts and photos when she was visiting my boys and I knew they were having great fun. Thank you Rebecca

Rebecca is the best and we are so glad we found her. She was flexible to accommodate our schedule and sent updates frequently. We can see Monty has been having a great time playing with her dog and getting all the attention.

Safety, trust & environment

Each pet is unique and the love and care will come with gaining their trust. I think your fur baby will know I am a pet mom, so no matter what fur babies love me. We live in an apartment of a three-storey house. The complex has a fenced yard within a gated community. All dogs roam free inside the house with no caging involved. If they are in day-care they are taken out for walks in the morning and evening to exercise and stretch their legs and for bio breaks. During walks there are some lovely pet friendly park, lakes and gardens in and around Abingdon that we go to. I encourage healthy play and usually make sure that dogs of the right temperament age and size when allowing interactions. I have got extra crates and pen in-case that is what your pet is used to during their break time or extra beds that he/she can use to laze around if that is what they prefer during their stay. I am DBS checked and Pet First Aid trained. Looking forward to meeting you and your baby!

Information Rebecca B. would like to know about your pet

Whilst not mandatory I would like to know if your pet is crate/pen trained. It would be good to know if your dog has a good recall whilst on a walk or when I am outside with him/her. I would also like to know if your dog is allergic to certain food items or whether he she is under medication. Also, it is important to know whether your fur baby has separation anxiety issues. If that is the case don’t worry, I shall take special individual care so he/she feels safe, loved and at home. Please do inform me if he/she is dog or human reactive or if he barks as a mode of communication. Lastly, do you have any rules and boundaries for your pet? If you would like I can have the same so it is helpful for your pet and not disruptive If you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out to me, would love to hear from you.

A typical day

Over years of being with dogs and looking after them I know that all dogs perform well when committed to a routine. Whether they are coming to my house or I am going to theirs it always going to be a fun and happy break, with no dearth of love and cuddles. If I am going out with them for a walk it will be enjoyable and fun with plenty of water for them if thirsty. During day care or boarding - a typical planned day in our house or yours might look like the following, but with flexibility . 7am – Wake up and stretch with bio break 7:30 - 8am- Breakfast and walk 9am – 11am – Supervised playtime either with other dogs in the house or playing fetch and tug with me depending on what they like. 11am -1pm – Downtime rest 1pm- 6pm – Free walk in the house and do as you like, don’t forget the hugs and cuddles! 6pm – Dinner 6:30 pm – Walk or play 7:30 pm- Lounge, settle down 9pm- Bio break and bed time I do keep them engaged and exercised with lots of stimulating games as well as use enrichment toys. We go for morning and evening walks around our neighbourhood or to friendly parks and farms. Of course, everything depends on the age of the pet and their temperament, so I shall be adaptive to their needs once I know what they like doing. At the end of the day it should be a fun time for both of us!

This is a full-time initiative for me and I am available throughout the day to care for your fur babies. Being a full timer gives me the flexibility as well as the opportunity to provide highly personalised pet care. I am open to all kinds of dogs and love each of them as my own. This enables me to provide the right kind of attention and care that I hope to deliver to my furry clients. I love taking them out on walks and have a lot of experience managing them be it in a group or individual. Walks give them time to have fun, play and socialise amongst them. My calendar is up to date and I am open for bookings
