Your pet’s favorite auntie! ❤️

Pet care experience

I have been caring for dogs for as long as I can remember. A puppy was the first responsibility I had as a child. In high school I even worked at a vet hospital for a class credit as my first work experience. I lost my childhood pet of 12 years November 2014. I began Rover in college as way to help and connect with dogs while I was grieving mine. When I moved to San Diego in 2017 I stopped using Rover (this is why my reviews are older) My long work long hours kept me busy, but I gained several years of experience working at an animal hospital. Plus at that time I would fulfill that need for puppy cuddles and all my pet therapy at work! lol Post pandemic I stepped in a different work field and have become the go-to pet sitter for all my friends and they have recommend me to others just by referral. It brings me so much happiness to be that person people can rely on to love and care for their pets as they were my own while they are away. I am a huge advocate for animals. They are such special creatures and if I can be their voice or safe space I’m happy to go above and beyond to do so.

Rebecca gave lots of love and attention to my dog Brodie. He didn't want to come home! She is a wonderful care provider and I highly recommend Rebecca for boarding your special companion!

Rebecca was amazing and my dog Lola had a great time with her. Rebecca sent me pictures and made me feel safe leaving my dog in her care.

I prefer to stay in your home just because my studio is very small and I’m not 100% in control of the yard gate opening or closing since I share that space. If you have a smaller pet that is crate trained or a cat then I am happy to board as a last resort.

Information Rebecca A. would like to know about your pet

I don't have breed preferences. I love all animals of shapes and sizes. I would like to know their temperament details such as, if they like to be carried or not in case of an emergency I feel it's important to know how sensitive the dog is. Other examples are their behavior on leash, what may trigger them to bark or become upset, and if they are treat motivated. Any sort of vet information for emergencies, medication instructions, and diet restrictions.

A typical day

I am always happy to exercise pets with me on leash whether it’s a walk or jog. I will cuddle with them or play with their toys. Due to dog parks and beaches being so unpredictable I am always weary to take other people’s pets to public off leash places- but I am open to it if asked of me.
