My major experience includes having volunteered with a shelter, fostering and training dogs, several years of dog sitting in Canada, along with adopting my own 2 poodle mix dogs, training them and my former partner’s dog (golden retriever), along with caring for a Jack Russel Terrier growing up. Before adopting my own dogs, I mainly cared for a goldendoodle regularly on weekdays along with several other dogs sporadically & on weekends. I can assist with feeding and special care needs or training if the stay is long enough. I have had a pet turtle for 10 years, (who was very hard to leave behind when leaving Canada). I've had lots of family and friends with cats and dogs that I've helped out with when possible and couldn't possibly list them all out. I have also worked with service dogs and their people in my experience working with children so I’m very comfortable training dogs with positive reinforcement. I have several years experience grooming dogs and am happy to wash yours, the price can vary depending on their size, so reach out if you’re interested! We live in a large plot of land which is fully fenced in and has a lot to explore. The 2 dogs, 2 cats and 1 baby, all get along well, and I'm happy to keep you updated with txts / pictures of your fur baby and follow any special instructions they may require, just let me know in advance. The more info the better so I can help your pet feel as safe and comfortable as possible. I live with 2 other adults (the parents of the baby), who can help as well and the house and land is spacious for them to have plenty of space to roam, play, or rest. Feel free to reach out with any questions! I take the dogs out first thing in the morning typically followed by one of the cats, Nora who is super friendly. If the weather is nice, the doors are kept open and the animals can roam the property as they please since the larger plot is all fenced in. When it’s very hot out we can do quick walks during the day and a longer one in the evening but it’s flexible and depends on the weather. Sometimes we take them to the dog friendly beach on the weekends or in the evenings on a nice hike near the fountains. Mine eat their meals at 12 & 8pm, and I’m happy to separate them from yours for feeding times if needed. We have a fenced in huge yard, with plenty of space to run and play or just sniff around and explore. I’m very patient and loving and train my dogs with lots of positive reinforcement, encouraging excellent behaviour and happy cuddly playful dogs.
