Besides growing up constantly surrounded by pets due to the animal-loving nature of my family, I also have much of my own independent experience with a variety of different animals. I shadowed several veterinarian offices in the area, have over 150+ volunteer hours at the animal shelter, and of course have two dogs of my own. I have a Bachelors in Biology and am currently pursuing a Master of Physician Assistant Studies through Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Because of this, I have a great medical background and am CPR, BLS, ALS, and PALS certified. Yes even though these are human-based certifications, they show I am a competent quick thinker under pressure and will be able to transfer a lot of those quick-thinking skills to your pet if need be. I have experience drawing medications, giving injections, oral medications, eye drops, ear drops, topical medications, etc. I have great experience with pet sitting as I have often watched my in-laws giant(140pound) French Mastiff, my sister’s hyperactive beagle and two cats, and friends’ pets (from fish to a crazy sheepadoodle pup).
