I love your pets like they’re mine!

Pet care experience

*DISCLAIMER PLEASE READ* Please try your best to book a month out! My work schedule gets made month by month. I have school M, Tues, Wed, Fri. I also work, but if need be I will schedule days off, so please try to book a month in advance! I volunteered at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, where I received extensive training on dog behavior, how to properly leash a dog, medical conditions to watch out for such as overheating/heat stroke and how to keep a dog and yourself (along with others) safe. I also used to volunteer at a cat rescue called whiskers in Albany where I worked with senior cats along with kittens. For a program at my high school called CEIP, which stands for career exploration internship program, I interned at a doggy daycare, The Dogs Retreat, which is where most of my pictures were taken. I would supervise at least 10 dogs at a time, take them out, clean up after messes, prep dogs/kennels for boarding, helped groom some dogs and made sure no play fighting turns into a real fight. I also currently work at Dogtopia, daycare, boarding, and grooming for dogs. I have been working there since late December, where I had to undergo more training on dog fights, training, and dog behavior. I have worked with leash reactive, dog reactive and dogs who have behavioral problems. I have dog sat for family, friends and neighbors, along with caring for my own pets. I currently have one cat, her name is Bella. She’s about nine years old, and has been with my family since she was six months old. I also have a stray cat that I found dumped in a box and I nursed him back to health and now he is at his new home where he is happy and spends all day playing with the other cats or sleeping. I am currently enrolled in Hudson Valley Community College where I am majoring in entrepreneurship and business administration. I want to open my own doggy daycare, one that gives back to the community and incorporates non-profit ideology.

Reagan is incredible! She walks my two dogs and treats them like her own. She's dependable and I totally trust her with caring for my furbabies!!

Reagan watched my two kitties while I went home for the holidays. They were well taken care for and loved while I was gone. I got pictures and videos though out my trip. My apartment was clean and tidy when I got back! Will have her watch my babies again!

Reagan went above and beyond caring for my dog while I was away. I loved the daily photos of all the fun they were having.

Reagan was the sweetest, most accommodating sitter we could’ve ever asked for! We initially wanted her for three full days while we were gone at our wedding — however, our dog had gotten sick the week before and we had to bring them with us. Reagan, was so understanding of the situation and drove over an hour to the lake house we were staying at just to watch our pups for the day! We had all the confidence in the world that our dogs were in great hands and we were able to enjoy the evening! We will definitely be using her for future vacations and events.

Safety, trust & environment

I always make sure that the collars are secure, along with leashes before taking a walk, as well as checking the pavement and the temperature outside. if I take a dog on a walk on a hot day, I always make sure to fill up the water bowl with cold water for when we get back. Before I let the dog out into a yard I always double check any fence gates to make sure that they are closed, as well as checking the yard to make sure any possible dangerous items are removed and that there is no way for the animal to escape the yard. I always make sure that any type of human food or choking hazard, whether it be a toy, a bone etc. cannot be reached by the animal. I always make sure that there is food and water in the bowls, and that there are no open doors or any way for the dog or animal to get out.

Information Reagan T. would like to know about your pet

If they are leash aggressive, don’t get along well with other dogs or don’t like kids/men/women. If they have any medical issues or if they have any problems with walking/running.

A typical day

I love to go on long walks with the dogs, and visit parks. I will always try and get them outside for the entirety of the time I have with them to play and/or chill unless it is too hot.

As a pet owner myself I understand the need and the time that is needed to take care of your pet to make sure they are happy, safe and healthy. I always send updates, in forms of texts, pictures and videos on all things cute or mundane. I also will have your pets “paint a picture” (photos are in my gallery) so when you come home you have a unique piece of artwork. I also know the feeling of coming home and not wanting to clean so I will clean (vacuum, sweep, mop, laundry etc) the house before you come home!
