Love Animals!

Pet care experience

Hello my name is Razaanah and I am a very dedicated, and loving animal caregiver. I experienced true love with my pups Luca, Vinnie, Teddy along with my guinea pig Felix and my two goldfishes, Mr. Fishy and Tigerlily. I am very detail oriented and meticulous. I have used many pet care services in the past. I know what I have expected and been extended let down. I give the highest quality of care and love that I would my own fur babies. I am very diligent and will provide a safe environment for your pet, whether it is in my home and while out on walks. I know the pain and trauma poor boarding services can cause. After my experiences, I ensure all my pups in my care will be treated with so much love, affection and attention. I am very patient and knowledgeable in senior care, including medication administration. Since losing my pups, I decided to focus on providing care and boarding for my friend's pup and now on Rover. I am very reliable, easy to contact, and constantly in touch to give updates. I will give as many photo and message updates as you request, because I know how important they are. If you would like to know more about my own fur babies, please read below: I adopted Luca from 8 weeks, and his spirited personality and love stayed with me until he passed at 15.5 years old. We experienced many shining throughout our life together. He battled may health issues such as megaesophagus, pneumonia, pancreatitis and mast cell tumors. He was brave and strong, and took on all his issues with great strength. I rescued Vinnie when he was 6 months old from a very abusive situation, and he was such a sweet, dignified lovebug. He was so polite, and kind and was truly a gentleman. He lived until 11 years of age and fought osteosarcoma with the strength of a lion. My last rescue was Teddy. He was an emaciated, rescued from a hoarding situation and in very poor shape, unable to walk or eat on his on. His MRI revealed many past traumas including a fractured skull, dislocated knees and broken ribs. I spent all my time with Teddy, and through rehab at Canada West Vet and the specialists, we were able to help Teddy have a little bit of time full of love and care. Due to his past neglect, he did cross over the Rainbow Bridge 2 years later but I believe he felt and knew love with his time with me.

Razaahah is a genius dog whisperer/trainer/shadchan (heheee); moreover, she has a beautiful calm kind personality. Not only she puts me at lease, my two rambunctious kids immediately took to her and that is money well spent! I also receive great updates with photos giving me peace of mind that my pups are having fun under her pet loving care. I highly recommend Raz for training, reinforcement, dog walks & matchmaker. She's like a 2nd momma to M&M. Thank you Raz for all that you do!

Razaanah has looked after my dog, Hazel on two separate occasions and I can't praise Razaanah enough. The first time was an overnight stay and the second time was over a week long. She took the time to send me photos of their adventures together. Razaanah has so much experience with dogs, she is very responsible and cares for Hazel as if she were her own dog. Hazel cannot contain her excitement every time we see Razaanah. I highly recommend Razaanah and would definitely be using her again in the future!

Raz is THE most loving and caring person for any dog, but especially for senior and special-care dogs. She is patient, understanding and has years of experience. Her love of all living creatures (but especially dogs) is palpable from the get-go.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for everyone's animals as I would mine. I spend all my time when I am home interacting with them, snuggles, as well as interactive games to stimulate their minds. They are in my home during the day, with the kitchen area restricted so there is no risk. They will have access to my bedroom and living room if they have no restrictions. I do not have anything in the open that may cause harm such as small chewable pieces, or shoes. I do leave my television on TreeHouse, as I have done for my pups because I believe having it on does help with their time alone. I like to communicate often with messages and updates, however I will follow your instructions. Your pets are family, and they deserve love and safety at all times. I do live alone, and no one has access to my home so your pet will be safe without any unexpected visits. My senior neighbors have my contact information, and are diligent to watch over our places. I do work 10 minutes from home, and drive as well. For drop in services, I am very diligent to keep any information and keys safely in a lockbox when not in use. I already have been entrusted with keys for two friends home, so that in emergency or if they are out of town, I will check to make sure everything is the way it should be. I give the same respect and trust to ensure safety is priority to all clients, as I do for my friends.

Information Razaanah A. would like to know about your pet

I would need to know the following: - To have a meet and greet with your animal to ensure they are comfortable - What do they love to do - Senior or special needs - Medication required - Are they reactive or human/dog aggressive - Do they have anxiety or any fears - Any special dietary restrictions or requirements - Any mobility issues, arthritis or other health issues - Any other important information

A typical day

I love to walk and talk with the pups I care for. We take our walks along the Arbutus Greenway, as well as my favorite park Queen Elizabeth Park. I will also go to Granville Island, and the Seawall as my location is central and easy to get to all of these areas. I find the scenery is well loved by all the pups and if they are anxious, I ensure we take our time and go to more peaceful areas with minimal stimulation. I also love taking the pups to DogSwim Vancouver (additional $26.25 due to their cost), which is a very close walk to my home. I ensure safety with the use of lifejacket, and additional jacket for the walk home. Please note, DogSwim Vancouver does require up to date vaccination certificate if you would like to have your pup go for a swim.

I do work full-time but have a pet friendly home where your animal would stay. I follow all feeding and medication requirements, along with any physical requirements/restrictions needed. My daily routine is as follows: 1 hour walk prior to work (if needed, I will come home during lunch as well), breakfast and a pee break before I leave. After work, I provide another 1.5 hour walk, dinner, and a shorter 30 minute evening walk and a pee break right before bedtime . I also include pee breaks throughout the day as needed. I am open to taking the pup to an enclosed area for off-leash play with a ball; however with the amount of parasites, disease and inattentive owners, I do not participate in a open off-leash dog park environment with no gates or a lot of dogs.
