All creatures are precious

Pet care experience

I’ve had animals in my life on and off since the age of 8, and have been passionate about creatures for as long as I remember. In science classes whenever their was animal documentaries I was always content and excited, I frequently would read animal encyclopedias aswell as autobiography’s of Naturalists / Zoologists in my spare time. However 16 is when I consistently was around animals as I had moved a lot in early childhood. From then to now I’ve cared for a Rainbow Lorikeets, a hamster, a Conure, Quaker Parrots, Dogs such as a Labradoodle and Pitpull, aswell as Hermit Crabs, a Bearded Dragon and a cat who are in my current pet family. I used to walk a neighbors old golden retriever aswell as horseback riding classes. So essentially I have varied experiences with a bunch of different creatures whom I all adore in my own way and who all have individual species specific needs.

Ray is very trustworthy and reliable. I have been working with Ray for several months and they have been able to maintain their job and goals. Ray is a friendly person who is very caring with pets and very responsible individual. They take pride in their work and commitments. Ray is definitely someone I would trust with my pets.

At this moment I can only care for pets in a clients home. Anyways- I make sure that a animal always has fresh water, and make sure to heed serving guidelines for the pet chow. I like to avoid letting animals graze as it can be unhealthy for them. I try to keep my animals in a schedule to the best of my ability, for example I wake my Bearded dragon up around 8 or 9, and put her to bed at 9:30pm. Whenever possible I like to turn the basking lamp off a hour before and keep the UVB on till bedtime. I feed my cat 30 minutes after I wake up, and lately have been playing with my cat before bedtime because she’s been getting rambunctious in the late hours. I clean her litter box in the morning time, and I feed my hermit crabs / refill their salt water and fresh water at night cuz they are primarily nocturnal. My cat is also a long hair so I try to keep up on brushing. While for my bearded dragon she needs warm baths once or twice a week. I tend to use chlorohexidine / vinegar to sanitize around pets and make sure to have quikstop and cotton available in case of small injury. However specifically if I am caring for another persons animal that is a dog I love to take them on walks atleast once a day, and if a park is nearby I’ll take them there.
