Flexible schedule, let's walk!
Pet care experience
I'm a flight attendant and obviously on the go a lot, so when I'm home I try to prioritize my best pawed girlfriend, my St. Bernard Mable. Through the past several years between college and a plethora of odd jobs (wildland fire dispatching, substitute teaching, scooping ice cream....) , I've had several consistent pet sitting gigs over weekends and holidays, typically for friends and family. I love giving Mable a playmate, but also love the quiet companionship for myself. After days on end of being stuck up at 32,000 feet, I really appreciate getting my feet on the ground for walks with a friend (furry or not).
Reviews
Ranger took care of our beloved dog while we were on vacation for 2 weeks. She took her to the dog park and walked her daily. She loves our dog like it is her own. Ranger is very responsible and caring— it was really ice knowing our dog was being well taken care of and in good hands. I highly recommend Ranger for dog sitting and walking!
I find Ranger a wonderful pet owner/sitter. She has loved on and taken amazing care of my berner for years. Ranger is the best ever

At the moment, I stay with my parents in Washington if I am not traveling for work or leisure. I am not able to board at their home. However, when I pet sit, I like to use it as an excuse to 'play house' and make all the days about the dogs. Some days I'm not super motivated to get outside, but one look in those forever puppy eyes and I am up. I also appreciate so much getting a bit more of my 'own space,' so I will take care of your home and respect the boundaries your pet has set in it. (e.g. I know my Mable loves our comfy corduroy green chair, so I won't sit in it if we're watching a movie together)
Information Ranger N. would like to know about your pet
I watched a dog for over a month who lived with an anxiety disorder. The owner did brief me on some of the behaviors, as well as the best ways for the dog to take her anti-anxiety medication. I really appreciated this. It's also really helpful to know how your dog gets along with other pets, how well they respond to getting called, if they can be outside/inside alone for extended periods of time, potty habits, etc. Every pet parent provides unique aspects to their dogs daily life, so it's important to me to provide that continuity.
A typical day
When I'm home with my dog, I like to walk her and play fetch in our yard. It usually takes me a little bit to get comfortable with a dog before letting them off leash to play at a park or with other dogs. However, once we've established that connection, I enjoy bringing a dog out for playtime. In the summer, then to the beach for fetch and some water time.

It is pretty easy for me to travel to you for a stay, or you can shoot me a message on my off days (or on a layover) if your dog just needs some outside playtime. I typically have blocks of 4-6 days off at a time. If you need a sitter for a longer amount of time, I need about 3 weeks notice to request the days off. My time is able to be completely devoted to your pets; so watch out, I might just become their new best friend....
