Your dog's home away from home!
Pet care experience
I'm a stay-at-home dad who has time to give lots of attention and affection to your four-legged family member(s)! We do not have a dog now, but do making plenty of trips to the SPCA to play with some deserving pups! There will be plenty of opportunities for exercise and outside time as we are a very active family; and my two daughters, ages 10 and 6, adore and love to play with all dogs! Why I Love Dog Sitting: Growing up, my family always had a dog; terriers, labs, spaniels, and even a St. Bernard. As a kid, my most memorable was a Springer Spaniel named Bo; he taught me that as long as 'I didn't give up on the dog, the dog would never give up on me!' I gave Bo a lot of my time and attention and could count on him being always by my side. Our most recent dog, "Minnesota," a Boston Terrier, was very smart and had loads of personality. It was with her I discovered that I could make great new friends by meeting fellow dog lovers at the (dog) park and during puppy playgroups! ‘Sota was very much a part of our family and was never left at a kennel; she either came with us or was left with a trusted friend. When you are unable to take your dog with you, I hope I can become your new trusted friend! About My Yard: My backyard is completely surrounded by a fence with varying heights of 4 to 6 feet. Ground cover is a combination of grass, and mulch (hardwood & rubber). Administering Medication: I have no problem administering medication to your dog, whether oral or injection. I've hidden medication in treats and peanut butter in the past to get my dog to swallow it, please let me know what works best for your pup!
Reviews
Randal and his family were fantastic. Kept me updated with pics of Crisco playing and having a grand time. Would give him a 5-Star rating and recommend him to anyone looking for a pet sitter. So glad I have him in my address book!!!!i
My pup's stay at Randal's went great! She got along well with his family and had tons of fun playing. I would definitely recommend him to anybody looking for a dog sitter.
Bentley had a wonderful time with Randal and his family! We were so nervous about leaving Bentley for 2 weeks while we were in Europe. Luckily, he was in great hands. From what we can tell, there was lots of playing in the backyard and belly rubs - we came back to one very happy, very tired pup!
Randal was great and it was so fun watching his two little girls get so excited for my dog to come stay with them. His wife is also a nurse, which will come in handy with my recently diagnosed diabetic dog that will require injections. I will definitely be using them in the future.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, is your dog accustomed to children? ...our daughters will be interacting with your pet(s). Crate-trained? ...while it is not mandatory, our preference would be to crate him/her at night and while away. Are you aware of any issues with separation anxiety? ...most dogs have their own way of expressing this. Any special or unique routines? ...every effort will be made to accommodate and comfort your pup. Finally, any health concerns (allergies, meds, etc.)? ...I''ll do whatever's necessary to keep your pup healthy!
A typical day
Getting Out: A walk around my block is roughly 1/3 mile; how much play time I have with your dog in my backyard might determine how many trips we'll make around the block! Sleeping Arrangements: Ideally, your dog will sleep in my living room; however, if your dog is unable to settle in by themselves, I am not opposed to trying to have him/her sleep on my bedroom floor. Time Spent With You Dog: Aside from driving my daughters to and from school, a shift at a part-time job, and the occasional appointment, I am generally at home. So, during a stay with your dog, you can count on my being with him/her more than 2/3 of the day.
