Pet care experience
We have been dogsitting for more than 15 years. It's just something we love to do. We love each and every one of them as if they were our own. I love all the cuddles, zoomies, kisses, and the deep love they give us. We have developed continuing friendships, both human and canine, from those that use our services. I have an adult child living with me, whom you see mentioned in the reviews. Jo (JoJo as affectionately referred to by canine guests). All our canine guests absolutely love Jo as they constantly think of new enrichment activities for them. I am close to Burke Mountain and have nice, manicured grounds that is perfect for walks with lots of sniff's and trees. It's quiet, serene, and calming. I have a relaxed walking style that allows your dog to exercise their brain through all the sniffs they can handle. Although I love all types of dogs, I can only accept 1 at a time, or 2 from the same family if small. I can only host small dogs up to 15lbs. Due to arthritis, I am unable to control a large dog. The apartment management I rent from is fully aware I dogsit, and I've paid a pet deposit to do so. APRIL PROMO* New Clients: Book at least one night, get a $20 discount. We are fully vaccinated, including flu, pneumonia, and for me, the shingles Vaccine as well. It keeps us healthy and ready when you need us. I am struggling to put to words how INCREDIBLE Rainee and JoJo were with their unbelievable care of my sweet little Lacey. They were attentive, caring and so very loving. The daily updates with messages and photos were so appreciated and I knew that my fur-baby was receiving excellent care. Rainee and Jojo are amazing! They treated Misty like family. Misty has severe anxiety and occasional seizures, they made sure to make her feel comfortable and gave all her meds. They're really good at communicating with pawrents too, made us feel at ease to leave our fur baby. Misty had so much fun with them that she almost forgot about us lol

We will go for car rides, walks, potty as per your schedule. Lots of playtime and naps are always on the menu. Especially on the couch or recliner. Pets are fed according to their regular schedule. Strict guidelines are followed as to what food and treats are given, according to your instructions. If we need to procure more resources, we look for the best, human quality brands available. I can guarantee they are loved on and cuddled as much as they allow. Mostly, they will chill in my recliner, watching Dog TV and crime shows. Please bring/forward a list of medications with instructions. Also include information for your regular vet, as well as an emergency vet, and don't forget to give my information as well. Make sure they have your credit card on file. They will follow your approved protocol for emergency situations, as will I. There are limited situations in which I can approve treatment. Eye, ear and skin infections, for instance. It's for this reason I will also need a method of contact that will provide almost immediate access to you. If regular text isn't available, I do have WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, but am open to other ways. I have a local vet that I use in emergency situations. We use them for our Hamsters, and for the dogs we care for. (We currently have two hamsters. They are in big bins, in each of our rooms and up out of reach.) If you don't currently have a vet, we can discuss that, and any extenuating circumstances, during the meet 'N' greet.
A typical day
We will go for walks 3-4 times per day, with potty breaks as often as needed. We can play tug of war, snuffle mat, and other games. Be sure to include favourite toys, stuffies, snuffle mats and blankets. I love going for random car rides and if your baby loves car rides too, we'll get along just fine lol (passenger will hold them, or will be secured in my seatbelt harness if riding shotgun solo).

Your dog will never be left alone. They are included in everyday activities. Putting groceries away? Not before approval sniff's. Folding laundry? Not before playing in a still warm fluffy towel. Making the bed? You know the drill 😂 playing with the dog while making the bed is housekeeping 101 🐕 Even when I drive JoJo to their adult school, they come with. (don't worry. If they are uncomfortable on car rides, I will stay home with them).
