My career in international Pet Sitting began almost 20 years ago when I lived in Africa for a couple years and miraculously acquired a couple of opportunities through my travels from friends of friends. I realized immediately that it was a perfect fit for me as I love pets, love to travel, and can't really have both in the way I want it. Pet Sitting has been the perfect solution! I sat on and off for about a decade, before I started my first official pet care business in Tahoe in 2017. It was a dog walking/dog boarding/doggy daycare business that eventually turned into a daily Adventure Camp for Dogs. In 2020 things shifted unexpectedly, and I left the business to my ex-partner (and is thriving still today!). I began petsitting internationally again after that, often in The villages Florida, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama. I have a background and degree in psychology, and I've used it to understand animals… Over time, acquiring the ability to understand, them and communicate with them. I've also used my background to offer a kind of "therapy" to peoples pets... I've worked most often with the anxious ones (so don't worry if your pet is still learning to trust new sitters, or humans in general… I'm happy to work with them, patiently letting them come to me, and showing them they are safe. We love walks, play, cuddles, and In general, we usually have more fun than you do while you're away! I am quite tidy, so you will come home to a clean home, always leaving it better than I found it!
